LaRussa is relevant, unless you prefer blinders.

don't make me no never mind

Obviously you must be the one wearing them because according to you nothing is really wrong with this team nor has been the past 4yrs.

Funny, I missed the pictures of Tony LaRussa superimposed on the body of a wino laying in the Bowery

but hey, what me worry?

Please paste more fat pictures of Eddy Curry.

I see, so because Eddy Curry gets 7 rebounds a game he is a tub of goo that doesn't care about his conditioning and eats all the donuts he wants, and all other possible factors are irrelevant. Gotcha.

Honestly, Curry's rebounding is the least of his problems. I don't know why people harp on the rebounding other than that Curry athletically should be a lot better at it.

My pet peeves are:
1) Lack of effort on defense, letting his man by him. 0.5 blocks is absymmally low for a 6'11" player.
2) Ineptitude when it comes to help defense.
3) Lack of attempt to pass out of the post.
4) Terribly low basketball IQ.
5) Most one dimensional player in the league, numerous issues with his style, then he complains that he should've made the All-Star team. Ridiculous.
6) Fouls. Fouls drops to #6 on this list since Ey limits his defensive fouls by NOT PLAYING DEFENSE. Thus, the other issues have now taken priority.
7) Conditioning.
8) Lack of effort on the boards.
9) Needs to improve free throw shooting.
10) Needs to improve when he goes to the basket (OFTEN) against a double team.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Honestly if I want to discuss Tony LaRussa I would go to the Cardinals' board. As of right now I'm assuming he did something wrong but since I don't really follow Cardinal's baseball for that matter I'm not sure why I should care. I'm sure some people in Hollywoood did some stupid things this week. I can guarantee some people on my block did some stupid things this week as well. As a matter of fact I watched them do stupid stuff. Not here to talk about them though. I'm here to talk about the KNicks. If you want to discuss LaRussa and how stupid he is, I'm sure the Cardinals board is humming with conversation, and I'm sure they could give a rats asse about how fat Eddie Curry is and aren't discussing that. Here we tend to talk about Curry and Marbs and Steve and Balk and David and Channing.

Now my question is why do you guys take this stuff so seriously? They are photoshop pictures that are jokes so that people can have fun on a website. Man the stuff that people do with my face on my fantasy baseball league, if I took that personally I would have committed suicide by now. Luckily I have a sense of humor.

1.) The reason Eddie Curry is so fat is that during the offseason Isiah told him to "lose weight" and he thought he said "Eat Cake."

2.) Eddy Curry is so fat, Jerome James runs around HIM to lose weight.

See, you're not really in the mood to laugh after reading the first one. (I'd put some sort of a smiley face here so you could see I'm not just being a jerk, but I still can't bring myself to use them.)

The funny part was implying that Jerome James actually runs.

Now my question is why do you guys take this stuff so seriously?

Going back to a tried and untrue tact that has already been disproved is not a great way to debate. Of course, the more I attempt to explain myself, the more I’m taking stuff soooo seriously.

So back to basketball…
I think you are on the right track.

And you are a coach? Not a basketball coach, I hope.

Because then you would know rebounding is only partially effort and conditioning. Positioning, boxing out, a sense of timing, and an explosive standing jump (which no, Curry’s power game never had even as a lithe 18 year old) all are factors. Watching Lee and Balkman beat Curry to defensive rebounds is instructive.

Which is not to make excuses for the man, before I’m accused of coddling a 300 lb 24 year old I never met. He needs to improve in all of those areas, including conditioning.

Just don’t tell me a guy who played 81 games, 35 mpg, isn’t making the effort and not expect me to call your BS for what it is.

I'll tell you cause I have seen it enough: Dude plays 81 games, 35 mpg and doesn't make an effort for rebounds, blocking out and blocking shots. Time and time again. Just watch the games and you see him standing watching either Lee or Balkman or the opposition go for rebounds.

Boxing out is less of a skill and more just plain effort. The explosive jump has a lot to do with the conditioning.

As for the timing and positioning, those are huge. When I balled in high school I used to play with this guy who couldn't jump and was at least 20 lbs overweight. The guy would haul in at least 10 rpg. He just knew where to position himself after each shot and knew exactly when to jump (the little he could) to secure the rebound. It was amazing the knack he had to be exactly where the ball bounced after a missed shot.

Unfortunately, I don't know how much of that is innate and how much of it can be taught...
