Saw the fight with a bunch of friends. I'm a casual boxing fan, I thought the fight was entertaining but I'm disappointed with the way it's decide. While I would give the edge to Pretty Boy, I don't think anyone really won, theres really no way to judge a winner when no one goes down and both guys are active. Yes, I'd lean towards Floyd, but did he really BEAT Oscar? I don't think so.

Oscar carried most of that fight.

So did you think Hagler carried the fight against Sugar Ray? Comming forward gives the impression that you are carrying the fight but most of his punches were off the gloves and shoulder. Floyd was more accurate and crisp with is punches.

I saw the fight and I found it pretty disappointing. Neither fighter threw with power and there were very few clean punches on either side. The best punches came after the bell.

I do think Mayweather technically won the fight, but sufficiently to take the belt? Mayweather looked like he came out of the Carmelo Anthony school of boxing. I didn't know how much of his speed was invested in pedaling backwards.

All in all, I like to watch fighters fight, not play chess. I love the sweet science, but I have little interest in watching dudes in white lab coats trying not to spill blood.

And I hope I never have to watch a Mayweather Sr. interview again in my lifetime. Talk about punch drunk.

The fight sucked.

I'm done with boxing.

UFC baby!!!

Can anybody say they actually saw a good boxing match in the last few years? Its a waste. If rather watch golden gloves.

Best fight I saw in a while was Campas vs. Duddy. It was like watching a rocky movie. They were trying to kill each other and neither guy back down. It was on MSG last year for free. Anybody saw that fight?

mayweather was sticking & running all night... i know that's his style, but i for one don't like that style of fighting... i wanna see these guys mix it up like Sugar Ray & Hagler... that's what the fans wanna see... for his part, i thought De La Hoya tried to get into some exchanges, but Mayweather would just tie him up, run & duck everytime... i gotta say tho, that the guy is lightning quick & those punches he throws are like a blur... u don't see them coming & all of a sudden, WAP! i hope there's a rematch, but Mayweather said he's retiring... we'll see what a possible 8 figure payday would say about that one... something tells me there'll be one.

Mix it up like Sugar ray and Hagler? Maybe you should go watch that fight again. Aside from the last 30 seconds of each round, Sugar was sticking and running that whole fight. There were a few exchanges but not many.

i don't like the guy's attitude though... coming out wearing the Mexican colors & the sombrero was kinda classless if u ask me.

um, i have it on DVD... there was more exchanging of flurries in that fight in 1 round than there was the entire fight the other night... gimme a break dude... the Ray Leonard/Hagler fight is 1 of the alltime greatest fights... maybe not on the level of Gatti/Ward, but it was a million times more entertaining than the De La Hoya/Mayweather crap i saw this past weekend.

agree w/u about the Mexican colors & sombrero thing... that was pretty lowclass & disrespectful to De La Hoya & his fans.
