BTW, in his third season, he blocked shots at nearly TRIPPLE his current rate. Of course, stats don't tell the full story, but that doesn't mean one should dismiss all stats either.

how about just giving him props for a great game & leaving it at that? what's all the sarcasm & backhanded digs about? we should be giving his teammates Mardy, Malik & even Jared Jefferies an equal amount of props for Eddy having that huge game, cuz they were looking to dump it inside to him all game long & got him into great positions to score the basketball.

wow, imagine that? an actual team concept? who'da thunk something like that could work to win a basketball game?

The thread wasn't about one game. It was a comparison between Curry and Ewing. If you start a thread about that one game, I'll give him credit for it.

I agree. I think we should dismiss the stats that go against out beliefs, and belabor the ones that support them. It's only fair.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

When a stat is that striking, you can't ignore it. I think we should be more worried about the possibility that Curry's regression on defense will continue next year.

I don't think Curry is being told to avoid contact on D- I think most of his foul problems started on the offensive end- early this season, last season- he'd pick up 2 stupid offensive fouls within the first half-

He's been a lot better in that regard.

Now they might tell curry- if you can't do anything on D, don't do something stupid.

I wish I saw that game. I did see a replay of his 3 to send it into overtime. What a clutch shot and what a monster offensive game. He even got 13 boards. Hey, maybe Isaiah was right about his being able to add the short outside shot next season.

It should be 12. He was late coming back on transition D and the ball ricocheted straight to his mug. He saved his pie hole from being a casualty.

Eddy! You know you are my boy right? You are like the atomic bomb that we dropped on Nagasaki baby!

There are five teams with a worse 3 pt shooting percentage than the Knicks and the Knicks 3 pt shooting % benefits by the open looks due to Curry being doubled and tripled inside. If Isaiah can make trades that improves this teams outside shooting, Curry will be even more dominant inside. He doesn't have and probably will never have the all-around game that Ewing had and will never be as valuable. But he is already a monster inside and with better outside shooting and better passing from the guards, he'll improve on what he's done this season.
