Well said and our lottery pick this year could have been used on a player we really need Jeff Green, you can't have enough smart versatile players on the court. Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Nate, Curry are all very dumb players and in many instances have no idea how to play the game, which is why our talent doesn't traslate.

Balkman can pass, defend, blk shots, rb, and finish
Lee can pass, run the floor, rebound, and finish

And thats really where it ends as far as being versatile, except for Q who is injured, ignorant posters jump on fans that bash the organization, and reveal its faults, because they know that the team is never going to be anything under isiah, because he doesn't have a clue how to build a team.

• How good is Georgetown's Jeff Green? Not only did he hit the buzzer beater that put Georgetown past Vanderbilt in the Sweet 16, he absolutely took over the game for Georgetown in the second half versus North Carolina.

Green did everything: He posted up, slashed, shot the ball, rebounded, defended, calmed down his teammates and even ran the offense for stretches.

The guy is so unselfish that you never see him put up numbers that wow you. But when you watch him, you know he's capable of much, much more.

Green is this year's Brandon Roy -- a solid, all-around player who should come in and make an immediate impact in the NBA. It's hard to see him falling out of the top eight of the draft. He'd be a perfect fit in Portland, which desperately needs a small forward and will love his character.

If I had to make a comparison, I'd say Danny Granger without 3pt range.

You're dumb.

And GMs get paid to foresake that advantage.

And they usually get fired when hindsight beats them by a mile 9 times out of 10.

the inexplicable part was signing Big Turd to begin with... the trade was a no brainer... no one would have thought this team would finish w/such a terrible record last season under a HOF coach in LB, & the jury's still out on how good the pick will be this season after the swap.

So why not protect the picks?

because Paxson refused to do the deal w/the protection... this is like a broken record already.

Why did Paxson require "no protection" if it was so obvious that the Knicks would be better under LB?

please, anyone who says they thought the Knicks would be as bad as they were last season after the Curry deal was made & LB was hired is just plain lying... there wasn't anyone on this forum who thought the Knicks would be giving up a #2 overall pick in that deal regardless if the pick was protected or not... anyone who claims to the contrary is just playing Monday morning GM here.

& even still, i make the deal... LaMarcus Aldridge, Adam Morrison or Ty Thomas are not better prospects than Eddy Curry no matter how you slice it, & you still don't know who the Knicks will end up getting w/CHI's pick in the swap this season either.

Brandon Roy, Foye, and Gay all had potential. Remember we are talking about an Eddy Curry that has been in the league 6 years. When you say that there wasn't a better prospect in this draft than Curry you are saying that for 6 years and like what 2 coaches noone could get to Curry and you believe that Isiah/Larry could. That can be seen as just as ludacris an idea in some circles-arguably.

Swap watch:

Knicks 10th worst record in the NBA = lottery -- likely 10th pick in the draft
Bulls 9th best record in the NBA = 21st pick in the draft

Curry Trade (if everything remains the same):

Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney, the #2 overall pick in the 2006 draft, the #10 overall pick in the 2007 draft and two 2nd round picks

-- for --

Eddy Curry, Antonio Davis and the #21st selection in the 2007 draft.

The hits just keep on coming...

Misteral as usual you bring nothing to the table....and never argue a point you just make fun, so please refute the fact that Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Curry, Nate are not dumb players.....

And Lee is the smartest player on the team and is one of the few people that possess the necessary skills to make people around him better

God your a zero

MS - dude, I never claimed to bring anything to the table. It's a free forum and I post what I think, just like you.

If you think all the Knicks players you listed are "dumb", except the Sacred Cow David Lee, you might need to re-think your criteria for intelligence.

... and I love David Lee.

... but he does not have the market cornered on basketball intellect.
