Solace - it really depends on who had the relationship with Tubby and had the inside information on his resignation. Morris was rumored to have faxed his departure letter the instant Tubby announced.

Never underestimate the basketball fraternity. Tubby has spent significant time in Atlanta while Zeke was considering buying a house in the same city.

You do the math.

Either way, it is the same administration. Why is it necessary to split credit in favor or Grunwald or Zeke?

Does Isiah really deserve the credit for this one? Maybe Glen Grunwald is getting cut a little short for his role in this?

No credit to Grunwald. Knicks and especially Isiah have been on this guy for sometime. I remember Knicks working him out twice. When they drafted Frye at the center spot, Morris wasn't a thought about picking with the 30th pick. Remember Isiah offered him a spot on the summer league team. I think he first accepted but then rejected the summer league offer. Also, Grunwald's job I believe is to handle the money aspect and salary cap not player acquisition.

They've always worked well together. But Isaiah's Grunwald's boss and in the end, he calls the shots.

Morris probably will turn out to be a good nba backup center. If Frye gets traded in the off season, maybe Morris takes over some of those minutes. It's a very nice move.

Where exactly does this major project fit?

this project fits in in that it gives Isiah a chance to trade Frye away this summer. Perhaps a Frye & Francis & Filler for KG?

To trade Frye? Fine by me.

For KG? Even McHale isn't that stupid.

Jackie Butler was described as a "free" first-round pick

Randolph Morris gives the Knicks two first round picks in 2007

Me like the way that works

That is my main question. Now if we were able to package Frye and say the 22 pick for like the 13th pick, or something in the lower lotto range and we grab someone like Jeff Green or Corey Brewer.

Draft picks are draft picks.

Free agents are free agents.

That's the end of the lesson for the completely clueless.

My favorite unexpected moves were trading for Francis and Mo T.

After trading for Mo, Marbury, Rose, Malik, Tim Thomas, and Nazr MoHammed, we all expected the Francis trade.

so what's the run down on this guy?

He's another big soft center. Kind of a cross between Frye and Curry.

Gotta agree with Crash, Isles. I think he's far from soft, he doesnt shy away from banging in the paint, he's a big guy, he can rebound the ball, he's got a good touch around the basketball, he can block shots. He reminds me alot of Jamaal Magloire.

See my scouting report above

Great signing. I really like it but why? Frye, Lee, Curry, Morris? 4 young bigs to develop? A guy who takes Curry's spot? Why do we now have 4 centers(JJ, Curry, Frye, Cato, Morris)? I would've preferred a swing so we can get a leg up on a future SG/SF(Q is done).

Like I said as an individual move it is great. As a move that fits in with the team it's confusing? Does this mean Frye is expendable for a pick? Why a two year deal out the gate? I remember he signed Butler to the exact same type of deal.

we should have done a three year deal, so we could have his bird rights...
