As usual guys just can't help but DUMP on this guy. When comparing this team to what it was a few years ago you MUST add to the equation that the Knicks are a team with a FUTURE NOW!!! The fact that the record isn't sterling is of little consquence at this point. The important thing is that this team is on the rise. We've had injuries just like other teams, but we're still fighting thru it. The general demeanor on this team is like that of their coach. THEY FIGHT!!! They don't give up. GIVE THE MAN HIS FREAKIN CREDIT!!!!

We're constatnly fighting through injuries! When's it going to stop?
I'll never trust this' team again.

Where is this bright future where are these increased wins coming from

we don't have a pg for the future, a sg, or a sf, although balkman in a few years could be the guy, we have no one that can make the post pass, lack outside shooting, interior defense and a very strong two way player....

we have no cap room and have to deal with jefferies and james

Now MS said it all guys! That pretty much hits it all on the head. This team still has a long ways to go.
I'll never trust this' team again.

So we are back to where we were before the deadline trade that sent Van Horn and Doleac for Nazi the "key to the deal" Mohamed and biggest ***** in the world Tim Thomas.

Oh God, don't remind me.

Yeah 4949, but what's up TONIGHT?

Well' for one, if we win, then the last 11 games is a winnig stretch, and if we lose, then we are pretty much even and that pretty much will tell me that, that's most likely how we will finish the season. .500 in the last twenty. And right around what I said, 35 wins. Much better of course from last year, but still not good enough. It might earn another season from me though. We'll see. I guess aside from my bitching, I still seem to have some hope. Tough to be a Knick fan nowadays!
I'll never trust this' team again.

I have no problem with Isiah the coach. When a coach meets expectations he deserves to at least be considered for the next years coaching job and that is what Isiah has done. Lenny did this and was run out of town. This caused upheaval. Not sure we need that again. Isiah has met expectations and deserves to at least be considered as coach. IF he fits our current plan than he should stay.

As for Isiah the GM. We need a change. We cannot waste anymore moves. It is time to be efficient with our moves.
I just hope that people will like me

With the exception of starting lineups, I think Isiah's a very good coach. I suspect the starting lineups are because he has to justify to Dolan taking Frye 8th and giving Jeffries $30 mil.

the difference w/Lenny is that Marbury still acted & played whatever way he felt like it when Lenny was coaching... he's actually playing team oriented ball this year & not being a knucklehead off the court... when Lenny was coaching, Marbury still thought this was his team & the coach's authority was pretty much shot w/Isiah's presence looming over him... u can't have the team's best player looking over the head of the head coach because he's tight w/the GM... that's never a recipe for longterm success, so there was no point in continuing on w/Lenny as our head coach.

agree w/u about Isiah as the GM... we do need a change... there's been too much negative press & negative feelings over his tenure as GM... i think we need to cut the chord on that & bring in a guy like Colangelo who brings instant credibility to that position... but having Isiah around to help scouting the young talent is something that could benefit this franchise, so keeping him on as coach is probably not a bad idea.

I love how some people bring up how knicks are past last years win total. Like it's something amazing. Oh yea we got past 23 and we will be back to the 35-40 range. That still sucks. It's like met fans crying about 66 wins and then getting siked cause they win 75..big deal..they still suck just alittle less.

The Knicks have gone from drowning to barely treading water, with no land in sight.

The bottom line is that you're still f***ed.

It looks like Coach Popcorn did a good job last night. But I agree he really has to step it up. I also feel that with more experience he will learn from his mistakes. Isiah the GM well that's whole different story.

No, it means that the conference was really weak this year with 2 teams hit hard by injuries and underachievement. If those teams had done anything remotely close to what they should have done the Knicks would be 5 games out of the playoffs.

The Knicks are still as bad as they have been the past 7 years. It's the competition that has come back to them.

If Isiah is doing a good coaching job then so were others who were fired for their performance. Some by Isiah.

The Conference is really weak but if you think about it the KNicks would be in the playoff mix even in the western conference.

Excution with his x's and o's.

1. He needs to get a steady rotation
2. Include more motion plays and cuts to the baskets
3. Learn when to use zone and when not to zone against certain teams
4. Get the pick and roll with Frye and Marbury working
5. Include double screens for Jamal to come off the curl like Reggie Miller use to
6. Have better game prepations not just preparing the team after half time.
7. Work on a half court trap with defensive players
8. More pick and roll plays so we don't need the guards to take more dribbles.
9. Use Q in the low box when Curry is out of the game.
10. Define roles for certain players.

VMart - do you really care about how weak the Eastern Conference is if the Knicks make the playoffs?

Besides, The Knicks ain't IN the Western Conference.

Let's see how tough the Knicks play Dallas on March 20th and 3oth without David Lee in the lineup.

BigC you slay me

1. He needs to get a steady rotation with key players missing (Crawford, Lee, Quentin) and two playing with significant injuries (Marbury, James) . okayfine.

2. Include more motion plays and cuts to the baskets? Who died and made you, "Red on Roundball"?

3. Learn when to use zone and when not to zone against certain teams
(see above)

4. Get the pick and roll with Frye and Marbury working. Cool.

5. Include double screens for Jamal to come off the curl like Reggie Miller use to (er um, Jamal ain't playin dude)

6. Have better game prepations not just preparing the team after half time. "Hey, can I use the locker room periscope next?"

7. Work on a half court trap with defensive players. This ain't college, the NBA guards will eat a "trap" for breakfast.

8. More pick and roll plays so we don't need the guards to take more dribbles. Okay, so Steve pounds the ball from time to time. Big deal.

9. Use Q in the low box when Curry is out of the game.(er um, Q is hurting kinda bad)

10. Define roles for certain players. BigC - what role did you have in mind for Mardy Collins being thrust into the rotation?

you slay me C

I was referring to next year. Slow down a little and back track. When I say Isiah needs to step . I mean for next year since people said he has done atleast decent this year. This the main reason why I said he needs more experience. Why else do you think Inclued players that are injuried?
