props to jamal for playing with this and not saying anything/complaining. But our medical staff warrents investigation by the league office - seriously

WTF
There are a few classless jerks on this board, anyway as much as I don't like his game I will never express joy when someone gets injured. That's like dried up horse**** status.

1st of all i'm sad to hear this news. I think JC is a guy that has not been the perfect SG for this team, but his timely shooting has helped us win games this year. He's not consistent, but we need him.

Now as for the team. I believe we can survive his loss. We still have Nate and Collins off the bench. Q can slide over and we can get just enough shooting to still make it work. Nate shoots 42.8% and 34% from 3pt range. With more shots he'll likely get a bit better. Collins can help on the defensive end for stretches and I think we'll be fine.

To all those that think we're done, don't be so hasty. We just need to get Lee back and this team will be fine.

This sucks, Crawford was starting to play more consistently. Almost 20 a night. We have no one on our team capable of doing the things Crawford does.

I don't think we have any chance to make the playoffs with Crawford out.

You actually get a tiny bit of respect from me for not changing your tune and using this as an excuse to bail out and blame it on Craw's injury. Of course, if/when they miss the playoffs, I will be holding you to this standard now.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

We really get to see what Nate can do now. Chicago fans are probably very happy. I don't understand why its only officially on the MSG site.

I think Jamals injury will give Jeffries more of a chance to play, since my guess is that Q will be moving to the 2guard and I would imagine Jeffries will be starting at SF. I still have faith in Jeffries, Isiah just has to use him right.

This sucks. Who makes up the scoring? Steph has to step up.

Mardy should get some burn now. We go from all offense no defense to all defense no offense. Assuming Mardy gets the nod.

I NEVER change, tho some might think that. I really do think this team can continue to do well even without JC. Nate isn't perfect, but he can score and that's mainly what we got from Jamal. Jamal is a better PG, but we'll just have to see if Isiah can FINALLY make use of Collins, instead of trotting Francis back out there. I really hope he doesn't do that. We need to give Collins a shot. He's healthy and to me capable of playing in this league, so let the man play.

Tough break for Crawford. I like the kid and I feel sorry for him.

As for the Knicks, No Excuses.

They're supposed to be so deep and they still have their 3 best players which should be more than enough to get into the playoffs in this brutally bad conference.

This isn't like losing a Dwyane Wade.

I would like to see Collins play. I actually believe he was brought in to add a guard who isn't primarily a scorer, has size, defense, some passing and can take some of the pressure off of our scoring guards. I agree, let's give him a shot and see if he can make guys like Steph and Nate more effective.

The medical stuff is just a tool in IT and Dolan hands.
They will provide any diagnosis bosses want.
If this is anybody’s fault that player was playing with this kind of problem it is IT or Dolan
This kind of things cannot be tolerated.
A lot of players are playing hurt but the doctors and management job is to prevent this from happening.
It's just like a problem with leased car engine - you just drive it more course you don't care.

Part of the NBA--good teams have to deal with it. I dont want to go over the many examples--like amare stoudemire out for a year and Phoenix still wins 60 games yada yada. Win or shut up.

How about when the Cavs lost Larry Hughes last yr for a huge chunk of games due to injuries and personal problems and still made the playoffs as a strong seed. How about this yr's Lakers losing Lamar Odom for 17gms while holding down the 5th and 6th seed in a very comeptitive Western Conference. What about the Rockets losing Yao Ming for 29gms while holding down 5th and 6th seed ditto Lakers. What about the Wizards losing Jamison 10gms and counting but still maintain the second best record in the Eastern Conference. What about the Nets losing Kristic and Jefferson a combined 55gms and counting staying within reach of an 8th to 7th seed. What about the Hornets losing Chris Paul, David West, Peja Stojacovich a combined 87gms and within 1 gm of a playoff spot. I won't bother to mention Miami.

I don't feel sympathy for the team losing Jamal vs feeling sympathy for Jamal personally.

I agree, no excuse. Although, I am also saying that the Heat has no excuse either. This is worst than Wade because that team is suppose to be so deep. Lets get the facts straight here and Shaq is suppose to be one of the 50 greatest centers. For once in his career he has to do what Ewing did his whole career and really carry his team as the only legit all-star. We shall see. The same with the Nets. I keep hearing how much Frank has it this year because of Kristic and RJ are out. Houston was out most of the 04 season and nobody wanted to give them a pass. Same should hold true for them. So I agree Isles no excuse for anyone.

Ok break it down for a second

Crawford is playing 36 minutes a game lately, has been effective but is still shooting a bad percentage

6.1-15.3 is what crawford is doing, he is giving you 4.5 assists and about 3 turnovers, while not playing any defense

The little guy is giving you similiar shooting numbers
2.8-6.6 and doesn't take care of the ball, put will play more defense.

I think everyone is looking at this the wrong way, with crawford out we will likely hold opponents to about 4 less points a game give or take and if Nate is the focal point like jamal is, nate can score in bunches, the increased minutes to collins, and balkman will improve our defense.

What we really need now is for channing frye to step up for the second unit, start david lee and leave him in till he can't play anymore, and use Q in the post against smaller guards. We will play good basketball i am confident, even though it was a tough blow
