I'm with Bonnie on this one. Trade our young assets for an aging vet who can help us for a year or 2 but would not even guarantee a first round advancement? Hardly sounds enticing to me. Sounds like the exact trade Isiah would make. Channing Frye and Jamal Crawford for Ray, a 2 more year player. OH YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY.

He's played Lee enough min to get his trade value high but not enough for the fans to crucify him for trading Lee in a starphuck move. Imagine the reaction the fans would give if Lee were starting and averaging 13.5 and 13.5 traded. I sure hope he won't trade Lee. Lee doesn't deserve to be in this mess of an organization, though.

seriously bonn...how old are you again? does the term repitition or the phase "beating a dead horse" mean anything to you?

how about you come with something new?

I mean...ok oj ok we get it. you think lee should start and get 48 minutes and that there is an isiah conspiracy against dlee.

contrary to all other proof to the contrary...ok ok ok.

put it in your footer anf move on...for the love of god...move on.

the rest of the uk mafia and new york media have.

get his jersey or something and write for a autographed picture.

facts are facts.

he's the most beloved knick and he is because his coach has put him in a position to be that way.

now can everyone on the board just say we all love lee so bonn can move to another subject? it's been weeks of the same post.

david lee for president!

david lee is our best front court player!

ok ok we get it.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

there will be no trades involving any of our core...this article was all speculation.

isola obviously reads this board because the ray trade was proposed weeks ago.

only players I would trade for ray (or anybody)
malik, qrich (bad back), nate (special) and francis.

Isiah should be FORCED to play the hand he has dealt himself.

anyhody else think if we had ariza we would have drafted boone and marcus will?
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Isiah Thomas didn't add Lee in a package for Eddie Curry. And that was before Lee ever played a regular season game for the Knicks. When he was just the #30 pick that a couple of people on this board was bashing Isiah for drafting because they didn't know who he was.

I would be shocked if Isiah moved Lee especially since he has been everything he has expected and probably more since he fell in love with his game when Lee was MVP of the pre draft camp.

I'm with Bonn on this one. I wouldn't be surprised to see Isiah trade Lee for another guard, to make room for Channing Frye. Isiah has his favorites, and unfortunately, it's not based on actual performance.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

isn't starphuching trades so exciting?

Wow, wouldn't this all be so keeno!

I mean, golly geez, its like sooo boring when they lose that a good trade is like so interesting!

And again we bend over and want Isiah to stick it in our butts again so he can somehow validate his Knarly performance and get a new contract?

I like thought he believed in this team and was not gonna make any moves?

I say let him lie in his own roster of feces and see what the year end brings!!!!!

Homer.

these are just rumors and not based on anything. That being said, remember over the summer when I said don't be surprised if your young core you love so much is traded away for a vet to save Isiah's job. I was crucified for sayign such things, but this just makes it clear that the possibility is there.

If we want to keep our young core in tact pray that they "get it" soon so that Isiah's job is more secure. Because the more desperate he becomes the less he cares about your teams future. This is why you need a GM and a coach not a GM/coach.
I just hope that people will like me

This team is at least 2 years away from being a contender, even with Allen, and at that point Allen will be 34-35 years old. I think IT realizes that: 1) the fans would hate him if he traded Lee for anything less than a KG or Jermaine O' Neal type frontcourt player; and 2) Lee has alot of potential and will only get better as a PF. So I don't think IT is giving up Lee to get Allen. The only way we will get Allen is if Seattle is interested in Crawford and Nate.

how long is ray's contract anyway? i thought it was three years, the same length as marbury and francis. i might be wrong but if it is then we should take him. the east is so wide open that it is beyond belief a move like allen would catapult us to the top of the conference. we won't be better than detroit or miami but we should be on par with chicago, washington and cleveland easy. then he along with francis and marbury would be off the books the same year and we have our cap room. if not, i do like gasol because he can block shots and protect the middle. however, he is a low post scorer who could clash on the blocks with eddy. he does have range though. also chicago's deal seems more fitting for memphis than what we can come up with.

unless we can trade contracts that we've already bought out...(didn't some team do this last year?) I can't see a scenario where we would get back Allen. Rashard maybe... Allen no.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Are they trying to get rid of Smith? Where do the Josh Smith posts come from?

He plays on a bad team and can jump high, so he is a superstar in the making. That's where the JOsh Smith post come from. While I never hear anybody who watches him game in/out and say this from ATL, of course alot of GRass-is-Greener Knicks fans love the guy.

he averages more blk shots and rebounds than curry and fyre, can pass the ball and make an outside shot occasionally. He has some of the most balance stats in the league. He is one year away from actually finishing school and has progressed each year....

14pts 8rbs 3.2ass 1.6stls 2.6blks I would take that any day of the week. If you can't see the defensive potential that move has in the long term if and when Balkman and Smith ever get consistent from the outside your crazy. He is a very unique player and anyone who rebounds like that and blks shots is a keeper.

Damn, I don't wanna stir things up, but the new Bonn is bad ass. Kinda like the new Bond. You have rejuvenated the franchise.
