Of course he's going to do what the coach tells him, but the coach at Arizona told him to do the same thing and at Arizona he was playing against guys that were much shorter than him.

Frye is not a inside player, which is why he plays on the perimeter.

Undoubtedly he is more comfortable playing from the perimeter, but he has shown the ability to do nice things down low hasn't he NYK? In the past few games I have seen him post up and shoot a nice turnaround, post up, miss, get his own board and make a nice strong layup several times, that little running floater, and his patented short hook.

So I am confident he can score effectively down low. But that is not where his coach plays him. And in this case the biggest reason is that the low post belongs to Curry.

All I am saying is getting angry about him not playing an around the basket game doesn't make much sense because his coaches at the college and pro level have utilized him as a perimeter player--it's not like he is running away from the inside, he is playing by the game plan!

It would be as if we were complaining about Lee not stroking enough J's. He doesn't play on the outside, that isn't his game and that isn't how his coach utilizes him.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

i think offensively, frye does have some post game but we're not utilizing him that way (like oohah said). he does have a nice hook shot and a little turnaround from time to time. but again, he gets virtually no chances down there b/c of curry.

but forget about offense, everyone is too preoccupied with offense when that's not why we're losing. it's defense.

on the other end of the court, he seems lost most of the time. he's been getting into quick foul trouble all year long and he just seems to get beat by every other pf he faces. he just seems a bit too late to react to anything and that's hurting us. (the same can be said for curry, but in his case, it's alot too late to react.) i don't know what's going on with him but isiah's confidence in him does look like it's starting to wane a little bit as dlee is constantly putting up double doubles and forcing isiah to keep him out there.

of course Frye has a good post game. He's a center. Play him there and watch his post game mysteriously reappear.
