yeah...I hope that most people were realistic when Marbury got here by not assuming that he would be our savior. first of all, he is not a leader on or off the court, never was and never will be. he's demonstrated that throughout his career. did people honestly think that would change coming to the Knicks? I don't think so. Add him to a team of other non -leaders and he does not change the mix, sorry. Unlike a Ewing who may not have been a Vocal leader but was a LEADER on the court. He lead by his effort. You knew watching any Knick game that Ewing gave it everything that he had and always wanted to win. Period. We can't say that about Steph but once again, that should not have been a surpise. What is surprising is when he got here, people expected him to be something other than what he had been his ENTIRE career. He was always a score first point guard. Who was not accustomed to playing team ball. Period. Having said that, I do see Marbury trying to make the adjustment. Albeit childishly at first. With all the pouting and whinning he did at the beginning but finally I see him starting to play with in a team setting. We have to give the guy a little time and credit for completly adjusting his game. He's a good player, not great and certainly not the best PG in the league as he foolishly proclaimed.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.
