The knicks have held one team under 100pts this season and that is the Grizzles they are terrible on defense and as bad as the nets played last night, they were winning with 5 seconds left in the game and nash hit a three pointer......

we got blown out by the wizards a team that hadn't won on the road

Jamison Arenas you can at least bring more of the focus on that team

Nash, Stoudamire, Marion, Barbosa

Again, we need someone who can play defense. If you want to show a players production, don't take their stats playing against Phoenix in a double overtime game. Didn't he light up phoenix last time?
He has been put in more of a scoring role this year, so we are not really seeing the Marcus that was heralded as a great pg in his defense. But, people who can score and not play D are not as in demand as those who can D it up. As much as I wanted Marcus W. I was leary about the lack of defense, not the laptops. We should all hold judgement until we see more of the point guard we drafted in the last draft.

I wanted Marcus as much as Briggs did. I think he was the right pick considering we still dont' have anyone capable of running an offense. We wonder why we keep falling back on one on one play everytime a team makes a run at us. That's your answer right there. We have noone that can run an offense. That being said, how can you not be excited about Balkman? He has as much a chance of turning into a solid player as Marcus does of doing something stupid and ruining his career.

The guy was guaranteed a couple mill in 9 short months and what does he do? Steal computers. I personally think he will be good but being objective I can't fault a GM for passing on him.
I just hope that people will like me

Wow, for a minute there this was a nets game thread!

What is important is not that we needed M williams, but look that he makes Craw expendable.

Nets could make Kidd expendable and get some nices picks/pieces together for the future. I would consider trading Vince also to round out the team.

The nets could retool with a younger team going forward. Having a M Williams fall in your lap is you can make other moves.

Balkman is a nice piece.

While its hard to repiece the past, but if Isiah does not get Curry, we have TT expiring, Sweets off the bench (no biggie) and a front line incubating of Bynum and Ty Thomas with M Williams off the bench. Maybe we don't have Franchis and let him exprire also.

Thats as far as I am thinking, but we also haveo our own pick this year also.

Would Isiah get blasted for a youth movment? THink if we had larry and less gazy on the team it would have been easier??

Isiah messed up. We will pay.

Side note: Remember when it was reported Barbosa cried when Staphbury was traded away? Tears of joy!

The pick this yr was part of the Curry trade with Bulls pending record and lottery positioning.

The real issue is looking at how a real PG runs his team and scores when he has to. Nash and Kidd are so much better then mebury its not even funny.

Ball movement. Isiah said the team is using a quick offense? What the hell is he watching. Watch the Suns, now that is quick!

The Nets are good too. They will be there at the end.

Good points about needing a leader out there. I wish I could watch the games here in Germany but I haven't found them yet (help?). I'm going to harp on Collins again, give the kid a chance. The one thing he is is calm and directed. Marbury and Francis supposedly are playing better but it seems to be such a tough thing for them (or any player) to drastically change their style. I doubt either will be moved in the next few weeks, so lets see if the play of Curry can help bring this team together.

Seeing Balkman play great for a rookie is nice. Marcus would have been a great pickup for leading this team, but again, just not sold on the defense. Hey, but our three point guards can't defend either, so I guess you got me thier.

These days in between games is a bit hard at times. (and I'm really only on the net!)
