cmon... was Curry in shape in November? I'm not picking a fight here. Just tell me honestly. If you were GM this wouldnt concern you?

I think he was in decent shape. he was playing more minutes than he had been at any point the year before which was probably an adjustment. I think he's in better shape now, so yes, he probably could have come in to camp in better shape.

still, I won't discount the hugely negative effect Francis had on the entire team.

Utah can refuse any pick that isn't the knicks. We would have giving them Last years Dallas pick if that was the case.

Link?

I think I read that on real GM or something. Trust me, they don't have to take any pick unless it meets those terms.

I trust you, but I prefer to verify everything, which is probably a negative side effect of the misfortune of going to school.

kinda hard to explain huh? I will admit its suprising, but stats dont lie. For whatever reason the Knicks were better with SF playing then without him playing

not record wise, and his effect on Crawford and Marbury was extremely negative. he might have done okay for himself, but he screwed up the team when he played, I've seen the stats and I've seen the team play with and without him. Marbury, Crawford and Curry have played much better since he sat.

just looked it up - we're 7-14 when Francis plays and 15-14 when he doesn't.

There aren't many dominant low post players in the NBA. Why trade such a scarce commodity?
because its only one end of the floor. Can Eddy become a servicable player on D? I have no doubt that he can. Remember when Isiah called him 'unmanly' and for a couple of weeks Eddy really hustled, blocked some shots, made an effort to have a presence? Am I being unfair? Call me out... its cool. I admit to being jaded at times.

I think that since he's made so much progress with his low post moves in less than a year working with Isiah/Aguirre/whomever, he can improve other facets of his game working with them over the summer. IMO, it's the most compelling reason to keep Isiah.

The other problem he may be having is a fear of getting in foul trouble.

but a lot of that was early. Take your own arguement about adjusting, etc

Hey, I hate the guy too... god that trade was so bad. For whatever reason when Francis was on the floor the Knicks were +

I'm ok with writing it off... and him

fair enough. Maybe I'm asking too much to early. Walk before running right? I would like to see him show up lean, put his arms up on D and put a body on someone when the shot goes up. If he did those things he would be an all star.

I don't think that's too much to ask and I think he'll do it eventually. hey, last season Curry looked like a bust, now we're arguing about the specific things he needs to do on defense to be an all-star. "evident progress," no? at least for curry.

he's made tremendous strides and seems to be gaining confidence. he's actually making smart decisions in the post now as well.
