you were saying you'd rather have Dampier than Curry, & i wholeheartedly disagree.

We established that 20 posts ago. You turned this into an "Erick Dampier sucks" thread and I wholeheartedly disagree with that.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Lakes should fire Phil for taking it public!

If he wants to talk that trash he can do on the side of the road!

Agreed. It is totally unacceptable for a coach to call out a player in public like that. Phil should be dismissed and not entitled to receive the rest of the money on his contract.

Thank you for saying that so I didn't have to.

The difference is that Phil actually wants to coach the Lakers within their power structure while Larry wanted out.
Thank you for saying that so I didn't have to.

Touche. Really can't argue that.

ditto

However, I think Larry wanted Zeke to make wholesale changes to the team, Phil is just kicking Bynum in the ass.

The morning after an uninspiring loss to New Orleans, Lakers coach Phil Jackson spared no criticism of his team, calling the play of Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum "horrendous" and saying Lamar Odom was "completely out of focus." "I think there's an assumption that you're going to win because you're at home and that you've done it before," Jackson said. "That's a lazy man's attitude towards it. We have to have much more intensity on the floor." -- Los Angeles Daily News

Fire this man. How dare he continue to disparage his players like this in the media.

Players that refuse to start in their home towns deserve to be disparaged.

Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

It's almost as if he wants his players to play hard and he isn't afraid to say it -- doesn't he know these guys have feelings?

Phil Jackson is probably only repeating to the media what he has probably already confronted his players about man to man. There is a difference in doing that and ONLY using the media to take digs, jabs, subtle shots, or indirect comments about your team. But yet continue to lack communication with them man to man which was a huge complaint last season.

Phil Jackson is also very direct. Saying "Lamar Odom was completely out of focus" is a lot different from saying something like "I wish I had a SF that can stay focused". Don't you guys rip Marbury all the time for being politically incorrect all the time.

Phil Jacskon & the Lakers are also 13-6 and first in the pacific and nobody in the world right now has to question Phil Jacksons intentions on winning.
