SugarRay, if you watch a lot of Ranger games, and it sounds like you do, you have to notice that Ozo is generally bad when it comes to making these kinds of mistakes. That is his general rep, an offensive minded defensman who is known to make cruical defensive zone mistakes.

The problem is not him making these mistakes, because we all knew he would, its the lack of the offsetting production that has made him a net positive contriutor in the past. He just might be past his prime, drinkin is very hard to come back from, Vin Baker was never even close to being the same.

Maybe people should not boo him because its not his fault he sucks, but while I don't boo him, I don't judge other people for booing him either. I feel that there can be an argument made for both sides. Its like abortion the way I see it, I personally would not want a girl I got pregnant to get it, but its still her choice, and I arent gonna say other people are wrong for having a different opinion.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Ozo was a major force years ago. Obviously he is not the same player today. But despite the past drinking (the knee injury/surgery is probably just as much a factor if not more) I think Ozo has generally played better than last season. In fact other than that givaway which wasnt a blatantly horrible play I though he played well. In fact he probably saved a couple of goals. I trust Ozo out there more than I trust Malik. The fact that Renney is playing Ozo in short handed situations and in 4 on 4 situations tells me Renney has some faith as well. If he didnt Pock would be playing instead or Kaspar would.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I dunno I think Ozo playin is more an indictment of how unmpressive the overall Rangers defensive group is. Pock did now show much, and Kaspar came in out of shape and bitching and moaning.

Malik is what he is, a sturdy average dman, along with Rozy they make up a solid pairing, which is no way a number one pairing, and thankfully this year they are not with Tuytin and Ward here.

Either way it doesnt matter, Staal is the future and will be star player for years to come once he is ready. Malik has been playing well latley btw, just like the rest of the team.

Either way, Rangers harldy ever got booed last year, and Poti and Ozo are just easy targets. Like I said I personally don't boo, but I think its ridiculous to imply that the booign is somehow responsible for NY teams loosing.

The Rangers were not booed often last year but still certain individuals were. It made me ashamed that they booed Weekes who was 1-0 as a Ranger in introductions.

LOL I never said booing was the reason for losing. I say its part of the problem instead of being part of the solution. If a team can have a home court advantage with the crowds support isnt it only logical that a team can have a home court disadvantage when they are booed?
