He doesnt have to play at all. we could cut him and still be 1 huge step closer to being under the cap in 2008. We would be a francis trade away from that miracle.

The strategy is to indiscriminantly clear cap space to land a theoretical free agent in 2008(LeBron) who may or may not want to play here, with no eye toward winning in the meantime?

Okay then, If we trade Curry for Webber then cut Webber for cap space, then don't complain how we have no big man, and how terrible we are etc.

It makes no sense.

People forget that rebounding is part of defense. You can make people miss all you want, but until you get the ball back you ain't done.

ya think? LOL... amazing how some around here like to separate them. I remember reading stuff about how bad Ben Wallace was on offense. Then I saw the Pistons play a couple times and I watched him bat 8-10 balls out to guards for 2nd shots and open 3's. No credit for offensive rebound, no stat, yet Ben created about 15-20 points a game from these types of plays.

When you consider that FG% goes up drasticly on 2nd and 3rd opportunities you would think rebounding is the MOST important part of defense.

If by people you mean me, I haven't forgotten. I remember writing that many times weeks ago when I was explaining about Frye, now I read everyone else writing it as a matter of fact. But that's cool.

However, people do forget as well that you cannot just rebound and then forget about your man. If you cannot guard a lamppost, but you get lots of defensive rebounds, you are not a good defensive player. If you are getting boards at the expense of playing your man you are not a good defensive player.
