but any rookie worth a damn gets better their second year. they are no longer "wet behind the ears" and know more about the league as well as it's players. they are just more comfortable. the key is seeing development in his game. will he expand his game and add new things or will he just be content working on one aspect of it. bottom line, will be be happy taking jumpers or will he try to get down low and post up? will he put the ball on the floor?

Have you noticed his improved around the basket help defense and how he is intimidating more? This started at game 1!

I don't want him putting the ball on the floor much, thank you. And today he mad a real nice move where he shook his man and canned a J, did you see that?

If he is played down low he will get better there. In fact, he had a real nice low post move today, remember?

He will improve. He's smart, he works hard. He will improve.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

i remember him posting up way more last year. but that could be b/c he was in the 2nd unit. you're right, they both can't be in the low block but we're not even getting curry the ball in the low block now.

Not much more. It is early, he's posting up more than he did throughout the first few games, no?
and frye + curry hardly play together in the 2nd half of games. it's also rare to see frye out there in 4th quarters.

He was playing awful for the first 4-5 games, no wonder he was not there in the fourth, even though he drew a nice charge on warrick in the fourth of the first game.

The second unit was totally out playing the first unit that last few games of the road trip, so it wasn't just Frye missing fourth quarters. Why take out guys who are playing great? Only LB would do that.

And the last 2 games were blowouts.

he's morphing into this guy right before our eyes...

I'm not that pessimistic but I also think LaFrentz was a pretty good player before he started having knee problems.

Oohah, on the offensive side, do you know who Channing Frye is playing like? Marcus Camby. Pretty much all he's doing is staying out on the top of the key and then working picks and pops and such. I missed the game last night, but he's RARELY posting up. He needs to be doing it more. I would like to keep the guy, but I'm in the minority that both Curry and Frye can't start and one of them needs to be moved. I prefer Curry goes.

Frye is a better shooter than Camby right now. Frye is a natural it took Camby about 8 years to get his jumper going.

Camby is a superior rebounder and shot blocker.

Like I told DJ last night, you play where the coach plays you. Frye can't just decide to play the low post if he feels likes it. You can only have one player in the post at a time and right now it is Curry.

Thats really the bottom lin e on him. He;s smart, he works hard, he will inmprove. He has post moves, he has the 18 footer, he has the mid range of the glass ala Tim Duncan. I'd like to see him in the post more, and I'd like to see him box out more, but he will get better I am sure about that.
