Just remember Bip, you're assuming that Lee is ready to play NBA small foward. He has talent and all, but I still get a little scared by him defensively, even though he can easily be our best rebounder this year. That's why I figure he start at the PF with Q as the small foward, b/c Q was pretty solid on the defense last year, overall, and again, we still have "Hope" for Curry.

I agree about Francis and Marbury though. I just hate them being on the same team. I don't love either one in particular, but if we traded one for maybe a frontcourt player, like you mentioned, then it would be ideal. I just don't see how it can work out, particularly with supposed work horses in Crawford and Nate off the bench who also deserve minutes. Somebody has to go, and I'm not talking Q or Jalen Rose (Forgot to mention him.)

Jalen is like a forgotten guy to me. I loved him before last year but I was disappointed in his play last year(understatment).

I don't think Lee is ready to guard the quicker SF's. That's going to take a while for him to get better at that. I think Q is definitely stronger there. But then you are looking at an average at best rebounding frontline. And I use average to avoid the negativity police. It really comes down to what is most important for that particular game. If you are playing a weaker frontline you can go with Curry, Frye, Q. Overall I just prefer the bigger frontline and using JJ2 when necessary. I personally would prefer Q in the backcourt with Steph and Jamal. I just think that rotation gives you the most even if weaker defensively

It's not even the defense of my rotation though. I think the rebounding in what I proposed would be much better, to go with the defense (Pending on improvement, egos, ect...). When he was with Phoenix, Q was gradding 6ish a game. Lee will be a good rebounder, and hopefully Curry can at least hold his own and improve. Plus like I said, you got Curry posting up, you got guys who can run, who can feed the ball to Curry, who can hit the long ball and the mid range ball, and you got Steph and Craw penetrating. Plus, everyone in that group, besides Curry, can move the ball around.

Again, I agree that down the road, Frye, Curry and Lee will be the best, but I just don't see how Lee is ready on offense and defense to play the 3.

Of course, Frye can also completely outwork Curry and knock HIM out of the starting lineup.

Well my take is that then you have Curry(7-8 rebounds) Frye(7-8 rebounds) and then Richardson(5-6 rebounds) battling with guys bigger than him. This poses a danger with injuries and down the stretch when he is exhausted. I personally would have Lee up front and try to funnel Lee's guy to particular spots on the floor and hopefully play better team defense.

I like Q in the backcourt because his strenght and rebounding now becomes a strength and his perimeter defense gives us somehting we don't have with any of our other backcourt guys. Either way I'm sure Isiah will experiment with both in the pre-season. It may even come a time where a Nate, Steph and Stevie backcourt actually does better than both of our lineups.

On a side note: It's nice discussing the team without worrying about someone wondering if it's too positive or two negatives. thanks Allanfan for once again making this a pleasant experience. Even though your rotation sucks and mine is great

True dat.

Suhr went to the same high school I did quite a few years before I attended. I had his mom as a substitute teacher in elementary school.
