Actually the opposite is true. I clearly said if you dont wnat to believe the article because of unnamed sources thats fine but dont try to tell me some unnamed sources are more credible than others. Its you that has tried to push that theory.

I can only tell you how I work. The first thing I look for are direct quotes from a named source. In the absence of those I consider is the logic of what we're being told. In the case of Elton Brown vs Curry we have no direct quotes, but I stated I don't find it inconceivable that Brown would look good vs Curry because I saw Butler outwork him.

In the case of LB and Nate I demonstrated that salaries don't match up from one article and he doesn't fit in with the untradabiity criteria of the other brown wanted waived.

You on the other hand have done nothing to even attempt to validate your beliefs. They seems close to random and arbitrary to me. You blame the press and unnamed sources against what you don't want to believe, but then embrace them to support what you do. Yet you accuse me of playing games?

Well yes, THINKING is a little game that I play. Ever try it?

Calling people names and insulting them is another of your games apparently. You post half truths and spins and then attribute them to others. You said that Butler neutralized Curry. I said that they didnt even play each other. You cant neutralize somebody you dont play. So now you reword it to outworked.
As far as the articles go you either believe unnamed sources are credible or you dont. You cant say some unnamed sources are more credible than others when you have no idea who they are or what their motives are. Well apparently you can but most people cant.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

well, Blue has been around for a while and his posts are pretty clear. Calling people names? Insulting them? Don't really see that going on.

There is a level of intelligence everyone needs to bring to the table here. Raise the bar man.

Sometimes it's not about the credibility of the quoted source, it's of the journalist and publications that quote them. At least I'm quoting from a newspaper with a named journalist.
All you require is a newspaper with a named journalist? Done!

Interestingly, former coach Larry Brown last season tried to persuade management to cut players because he felt it would improve team chemistry. Taylor and backup center Jerome James were two players Brown wanted off the team. Brown also talked about wanting to release Jalen Rose and rookie guard Nate Robinson as well.

Maybe he asked for Francis in order to replace Nate.

Dude, I simply asked you to post your source that he wanted Nate waived. I wanted to inspect it and then did so. It's a pretty common request and occurrence on a message board but you started calling it "word games." If anyone got ugly here it was you.
You post half truths and spins and then attribute them to others. You said that Butler neutralized Curry. I said that they didnt even play each other. You cant neutralize somebody you dont play. So now you reword it to outworked.

You don't like my choice of words, I have no problem with that. But I wasn't talking about 1-on-1, I meant that an undrafted guy like Butler did a good job of stealing PT from Curry.
As far as the articles go you either believe unnamed sources are credible or you dont. You cant say some unnamed sources are more credible than others when you have no idea who they are or what their motives are. Well apparently you can but most people cant.

Well that's your crusade, not mine, and yet you believe them when the lesser source says Brown wanted Nate waived. Go figure.

You're a walking contradiction. And if you get this worked up over a simple comparison of opposing sources I suspect you're gonna have a long hard time of things on any message board.

That's true, and I'll readily admit that being an Isiah and Marbury detractor has been a long, hard time. But me having a hard time and you having a hard time are NOT mutually exclusive, just like you derriding unnamed sources and still using them to your advantage are not mutually exclusive.

Just for the record, I've never been banned from any message board. I had a pristine record and was invited to moderate the baskeballboard.net board but declined (my username is "son of oakley", and back when posters gave each other "credibility" votes I had a 5 out of a possible 5 stars rating. Of course I supported the Marbury trade back then, which surely helped. But things got very slow there and they changed the format and I'm no longer active there now.

And on realgm, by the posters I've been voted "rookie of the year", second to TKF as "most knowledgeable", second or third as most likely to modded next, and third as MVP. However I've also been suspended (not banned) twice by the same mod who's also suspended 2 other prominent detractors for calling him out on falsely putting words in their mouths, and for being the first to derail threads with personal remarks an innuendo. Being the person who turns a conversation south while also being the same person who suspends those who take the bait is an obvious conflict of interest, and a practice I'm loath to witness without remark. Best I can tell there is an unwritten rule there that you can call a poster just about anything short of being a misguided moderator. That is a sin I confess to committing.

Here I've tussled with posters once or twice, but without bad blood, at least on my part. I'f I've come anywhere close to being suspended it's news to me.

There, that's my record, since you care. Not that that has ANYTHING to do with what we we've been discussing in this thread though.

Red herring.

He's telling the truth about the realgm board. If you aren't a Marbury or Zeke supporter don't go there and speak your mind. GROWN AZZ MEN taking offense to posters who aren't part of an agenda need to take a step back and re-evaluate themselves. Moderating a baord to the point where you make it one-dimensional as possible, are for those enetring puberty stages. Just speak your mind, do it with valiant efforts and call it a day.

I used to be a big Marbury supporter. I still like the guy a lot, really want him to succeed, and have some hope but I definitely realize his character shortcomings.

- Virginia’s Elton Brown was a huge surprise in camp getting 15 and 12 in his two games and proving to be athletic and a consistent foul shooter throughout. Very little was expected of the ACC big man, but he not only delivered for his team, but changed the opinions of several scouts in attendance.

http://www.hoopshype.com/articles/portsmouth_rodecker.htm

-Starting in the post this year will be Elton Brown, a talented big man with more skills than Watson but not as much discipline. Despite his size, he only managed 4.3 rpg and was sometimes lazy on defense. Still, if he adjusts to the responsibility of being his team's best post player, he has a chance to put up big numbers. He'll need to become more physical if he wants to do so, though.

I posted my thoughts on him a couple pages back. I found out one more thing about him...he apparently was the first pick in the NBDL's expansion draft.
