Remember larrys first day when some said they learned more in one day than they learned their entire lives? And how great a coach he is?

Lets just say the rooks are sucking up the GM and coach and want the big contract next year!

And.....

There is nothing wrong with being positive and going forward with a good attitude on the first day post Larry Brown.

I responded on how it was a coincidence that 2 HOF caliber coaches we hired all of a sudden went senile after they couldn't coach the talent Isiah put together
So then you brought Lenny in for no reason (other than that we could both agree that Isiah made a bad decision I guess)

I explained it twice. NYK attempted to explain it once. I am not wasting any more time explaining it to you.

I think some where along the line of LB's career he gave up the love em and leave routine for the Love em and get to the fast cash routine. 42 freaking lineups is enough to let someone know that the man was trying to get fired and he got what he wanted. As Hubie Brown would say "I'm happy for him".

People will always defend LB and his accomplishments because they are vast and great in it own aspect. But the past doesn't necessarily mean that it will repeat it self.

Personnally I though having LB on the Knicks was a great move as did everyone. Most of us quickly started to defend him and blamed the players for the ineptness of the KNicks. But LB was as much responsible as anyone of the players. His constant bitching to the papers and constant demands for a roster overhaul left the players feeling hopeless and useless. When a coach comes out and asks management to trade 6-8 players without naming names then everyone of the players feels as though they are on the hot seat. LB created his situation with constantly going to the press and the more he did it the more the players lost respect for a hall of famer.

LB was just a bad fit for the Knicks and people never see his manipulative side of LB. I still can't understand why he was talking with the Cavs with his team in the championship series last year. That still boggles my mind. Get the freaking job done and you have all of the summer to talk with who ever you want to.

There is no defending the NYK management there is no defending the Players and there is certainly no defending LB and his very questionable coaching job he did. I think LB and the Knicks needed to part way and move on from this and no one deseves any monetary rewards if anything they owe the fans money.

Hey, people should know LB's a pain in the butt. I believe when he signed w/ the Knicks he really believed he was here to be part of the solution, not the problem.

We fully expected LB to talk about trading his entire roster after a bad game, and fall in and out of love of certain players from game to game. I believe some reference to that was made in his first press conference as a Knick. "Me and Isiah are here to make things work-- together with Marbury, we're going to bring some excitement back to NY"... something like that.

Brown is the type of coach most players can't stand to play for--- but they end up appreciating how the foundation he provided allowed their games to grow. In other cases, they simply have vendettas against him the rest of their careers. :)

Come on dood.....enough sarcasm, you know Larry should have changed his entire approach, which happened to be very successful, in order to make it easier for Stephon and all these other pansies to come to work in the morning. Hell, I heard they wanted him to make orange juliuses for the morning shoot around!<please dear GOD pick up the sarcasm>!

LOOK the thing is that Larry is a great coach, HOWEVER, he didn't do his JOB!!! It doesn't matter that he has been mostly successful in his career, tho he hasn't always gotten his teams over the top. Part of any coach's success is having good players. The other part is knowing how to reach your players and get them to play. It took him so long to win an NBA title that you have to wonder if most of what he's done is no better than Lenny who won a lot of games and won a title too. Neither guy is the end all be all of basketball.

Isiah from what I can see is better at reaching his players and as long as its effective I don't care if we label him a players coach. This team isn't loaded with lazy uncoachable players, but I think many of you seem to believe the LB and the media and think this team IS FULL OF BAD GUYS. Well YOU'RE WRONG! Sure we have some bad attitudes, but MOST of the players are good kids. I'm not talking about the vets on their way out. I think this team is going to surprise some of you doubters this year with the level of effort they come with every night.

It's not a matter of opinon joec, it's fact.
Oh really? The FACT that Channing said nothing we didn't know already makes it a FACT that it is candid? Ok, then....

Now you got it! The title wasn't "Channing gives us breaking news!"

He was very subtle about the whole thing. He did not come out and say Larry sucks. He did not say anything we didn't already know. He comes out and says "Larry messed us up, Larry is overrated, noone liked Larry and we are happy he is gone...etc...etc.." I am right with you.

He didn't do that. He said Isiah has his coaching style Larry has his. He said Isiah is probably better for the team, which he probably is. He was extremely political.

Did you honestly expect him to say those words? Do you think Channing is that kind of guy, I serisouly doubt you'll ever hear him say that about anyone.

Just listen again bro.. It's in his mannerisms, you can almost hear the smile on his face. You can clearly hear the "pffffff" in his response to new vibe with Isiah.

Agreeing to disagree is also fine by me

With some posters, it's better just to do that! No one's given me an ounce of evidence that Larry's not senile and there is none anyone could ever give. This is a good scenario where it's best just to agree to disagree.

Bonn is that a hint?

He remembers his name and he remembers Shelley's name. Evidence enough for me.

I only do that when it serves a purpose. In your case it doesn't.

I heard that Larry remembers his name only because Bip writes it on his underwear for him and he checks it often because he does #s 1 & 2 nonstop!

We both know Larry doesn't have to check his underwear when he goes #1!

Apparently, this word is Bonn's flavor of the week. I learn maybe one thing every decade, and the definition of senile is for the 2000s:

Main Entry: se·nile
Function: adjective
Pronunciation: 'se-"nîl also 'se-
Etymology: Latin senilis, from sen-, senex old, old man
1 : of, relating to, exhibiting, or characteristic of old age <senile weakness> ; especially : exhibiting a loss of mental faculties associated with old age
2 : approaching the end of a geological cycle of erosion
- se·nile·ly/-"nîl-le/ adverb
“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute
