Balkman helped his team to win 2 NIT titles and was the MVP of the last tournament and some say of the Orlando Camp this summer. He's basically the same kind of sleeper that David Lee was last year. He's HUNGRY and he went and laid it on the line. Thats the kind of player I want on my team.

By contrast, judging by the way he looks, it seems that Marcus Williams is rarely hungry. Maybe he is eating too many laptops!

there has to be a reason he fell so low in the draft... i think Isiah made the more prudent choice for what this team really needs right now.

btw, Isiah knew that picking Williams would have bought him goodwill with the fans at a time when his popularity is low. He had a conviction, and stuck with it.

let's face it guys... Stephon Marbury's his boy... he's not going to take Marcus Williams & have the city be on Marbury's ass all season long wanting to run him out of town... he's going to rise or fall w/Marbury for better or worse, it's clear... nobody's going to be screaming for Mardy Collins to be starting games anytime soon... Isiah chose to go w/the need position & address our need for a defender/hustle player on the wing... i can't kill him for that, unless Balkman turns out to be a big bust... if he turns out to be a better version of JYD, i think i'm gonna like the kid alot.
