If Isiah's smart and that happens, he won't make the same coaching mistake repeatedly: He'll address the issue, perhaps by benching the player until he learns. Larry's approach was to keep trying the same mistake (e.g., starting Curry and giving him about 35 min whenever he wasn't in foul trouble regardless of how he played) and to expect a better result than all previous times.
I hope you're right Bonn. Everybody should know their roles, whether that be as a starter, a reserve or a benchwarmer. Roles should be consistent, then whether or not players are happy, they can't complain about being jerked around. If a guy is benched, bench him for a reason and let him know the reason.
