Proof that Brown was behind the Jalen Rose and Francis deals:

This is how confused Dolan is. He's actually telling himself it's a money- saver to excise Brown. Apparently, Dolan blames Brown for the insane cost of bringing in Jalen Rose and Steve Francis because Brown apparently OK'd them, then didn't play them. But it's Thomas who made those two deals. And also the ones for Stephon Marbury, Tim Thomas, Eddy Curry and Jerome James. It's Thomas who ran the tab to $125 million (plus the $10 million he gave Brown).

you are good with the cut and paste of posts in multiple threads. Nice.

The proof is in the pudding! Dolan is confused and an idiot but when he points blame it must be as good as pudding. And true!

Brown, from his position on the bench, is clearly the defacto GM. Isiah is just a $5M per firgure-head.

Matin my boy, it's important to get the news out...For months we have been debating who was behind the JRose,Francis trade...All you Larry lovers here were saying Ishiah needs to get Larry his players, it seems like Dolan thinks that JRose and Francis were amoung those players that Larry wanted here....

So tell me how it works, Martin?....If they turn out to be good playes for the team..Brown gets the credit....If it's bad Isiah gets the credit...It's not a one way street...

Idoit, that's the writers spin becasue he is as big a Larry lover as you are...The bigger point is that Dolan is blaming Larry for the trades...Surely they they have to get Dolan's approval to bring on such contracts into the organization....So Dolan would know who wanted these guys here...Come on we have debated, I know you are brighter than that...

it works like this: GM, coach and owner meet and they all talk about style of play; players liked, disliked, wanted and needed; who is available and who can be traded. Coach may make 1,000 suggestions but GM filters and makes the deals that are best for the team, both in terms of collective personnel and team style. Collectively, all are apart of the decision making process.

Duh.

Don't forget about the list of players that Larry wanted here...The team was miserable, Larry got his players and did nothing with them...Now he has to pay the price....Amazing, even with evidence you are still trying to defend this guy....

Now he is chatting up a KMart trade...As a Knick fan for christ sake(this might be more fitting in Nolad's thread), you too should want to offer him to the firing squad...

Like I said that is the writer's spin...The important thing we take away from this is the Dolan credits those trades to Larry Clown...

I think a close reading reveals he blames Brown for not playing them. You know, for playing YOUTH, like Nate and Woods, over them.

One Love bro, sorry abt the Idoit comment, I'm heated...But surely you can see where Larry wants to take this organization...I mean man, come on....after this past season of the lineups, the hometown starts, news that he may be have tanked the season, trashing the players in the press, running Reezy out of town, and now being the owner of the JRose and Francis trades, what else has to happen here for you to question this guy???...I mean damn,....I am just waiting for the new thread where one of you Larry lovers will post this was the best 23-59 teams ever in NBA history under Larry Brown, I just can't wait...

hey Hol, how about the fact that Rose reportedly had knee tendinitis at the end of the year? Or the fact that Fancsis unexpectedly missed several team flights towards the end of the year. What do you make of that? Could those also be the reasons they didn't play? I thought that Stevie was also banged up too.

Where is the exaclt quote that says Dolan blamed Larry for the trades?

I ask a favor. Can you post the "tanked the season" evidence and remind us of the worst of the player criticisms? Please.

There is no one strong eveidence that larry tanked the season and I wouldn't expect to find one...But there speculation around the league that Larry did just that...I did see it in articles posted in th press last week and I am sure you read sowm of the same accounts as well...

Thank you, and your lack of response suggests you concede the criticisms are a non-issue too.

Non-issue in your world...Dolan is firing him partly because of his performance, his behavior towards the players, his bringing Francis and JRose and not playing them, and what many percieve as his tanking the season as part of his coup....Now I have no proof that he tanked the season, but I don't have any proof that OJ killed his wife either....

Hollie, if your bragging about being in agreement with Dolan then that should say something right there. The guy hasn't made one right move since owning the Knicks or Rangers.

Bro, I hated Dolan so much that I gave up my subscription to cablevision in protest to the way he ran the Knicks during the Layden era...I haven't been back since....I remember turning open my 4 cable boxes at the office cursing the clerks about the way the Knicks were being ruined..They told me I would be back as a customer..I told them I have Directv and good riddance...I ask them to relay the message to the big boss.....Don't think the message got there...I still hate Dolan, but If he can do me this solid with Brown, I may cut him some slack....
