Larry is already hinting Frye may not be next years starter.

Id offer Frye and both picks for the Tyrus Thomas. Funny thing is I knew about this kid in game 3 this season--I posted about him in November when I first saw him--he was a bench player then, but his physical skills were obviously apparent. I thought the other day that Obryant would be pick 1 for me, but we saw the best pro prospect in the country today. If hes not the number 1 pick, I will be shocked. I hope he is not, and I hope we find a team that is enamored with frye in combination with our picks. Putting Thomas next to Curry will immediately improve the team.

not quite sure how having Curry at the 5 makes Frye redundant... Frye's a terrific perimeter shooter & he can stretch the defense... Wilcox doesn't have the polished offensive game that Frye has... he gets most of his points on putbacks, running the floor in transition, & getting to the foul line... if anything, Curry would make Wilcox redundant.

You can throw it into Wilcox and pound teams inside wit Curry for high percentage shots.

If a jumpshooting team were Brown's preference, he would let Steph drive and kick all game.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

There is no chance to get Wilcox--its not even an option.

I wouldnt laugh that hard. Its a no-brainer trade. I like channing but he is the most over-hyped player that I can remember.

Most overhyped? No way, but maybe a little overrated. I still say he'll be a solid 20 and 8 player. I think you'd have to trade him for Thomas though, unless you wanna give up Curry instead.

a rookie who in his first year has had a nice string of 20+ games, & who's put up better #'s than some other "allstar" players have in their rookie seasons, & he's overrated (your boy Carlos Boozer being 1 of them btw)... wow, scary to think what a real good rookie prospect has to put up in order to live up to your standards.

If they want to trade me Boozer for Frye and an ending contract, Ill do it. As far as Ty Thomas, I *know* LB would do Frye and both picks for him, I have 0 doubt.

Frye for both picks and Tyrus?!? whatever you smokin' PLEASE send me your dealer's name and email address...

I would consider Nate and one pick to move up or a decent player and an ending contract, or something like Mo Taylor and Nate...I wouldn't do this too quickly...I haven't seen Ty play but I wouldn't give Frye and our 2 picks up for anything short of a top 3 pick.

I asked before but noone answered is Ty a SF or a PF...it looks like he has a Stro Swift type game, but maybe more heart. If he is a tweener at the forward spots, I would have some reservations because that means he either there are some big holes in his game at either position. If he is a true SF I would really make a strong push for him but I would think Frye is off limits.

I love Frye, but I would probably trade him for Ty. This is about building a team of complimentary parts not amassing 20ppg scorers. I said several times in the beginning of the season that this team wouldn't start winning until Frye and Curry learned to play together - unfortunately Larry doesn't seem to believe they can and certainly neither one is a defensive stud. You need to pair either Frye or Curry with a defensive player. I think Larry will try to do that this summer - but I think someone like Kmart is far more likely than someone like Ty.

As for Wilcox - I love the guy. He's who I wanted to draft in 2002 (I knew nothing about Amare). I think he would be a perfect compliment to Curry, more so than Kmart. I couldn't believe the Clippers gave him up, but I guess they didn't want to pay a bench guy. He's a tremendous rebounder and a good defensive player. ah well.

I read the scouting reports (yes reading is fundamental), and Ty Thomas was a a virtual no name until the tournament. Why the hell would anyone want to pull a trade like that? My point is that package should be reserved for a cornerstone player, and after reading these 3 pages of posts, Ty seems like a secondary player, albeith a very good one (like Kenyon) Ty can be anyone from Stro Swift (and I would rather have Channing and the 2 pick than SS2) to Kenyon Martin (those seem to be the comparisons that are thrown around here). Some of us actually have to work 50 hours a week to live and not spend it watching college basketball games.

I've never made any qualms about saying I don't watch college baseketball because I think it is a sham. And watching tons of games at the college level where coaches are usually the reason for winning and can make a marginal NBA player look great (see Wallace, John...Hurley, Bobby...Laetner, Christian....

I am not saying watching games is a waste because it gives a great feel for a player and guys like Briggs can judge talent when they do see it, but when look at who I want to draft I base my opinions more on scouting reports. Briggs opinion is just that an opinion. I feel that Channing and the 2 picks is overpaying for 90% of the players in the league now and all but any of the top 3 picks...Reread the post martinI am judging this deal on the fact that I have seen Channing play, and what I feel HIS worth is more than having to see Ty Thomas play.I am passing judgement on a DEAL not a player.

No need to be a smartazz martin, how many times have you seen Ty Thomas play other than the tournament?

How about something like Lee, Francis and the 2 #1's for Al Harrington (sign and trade) and the Hawks pick (probably around #4)

because Atl has so many needs I think they are the best shot here. As for Ty Thomas going #1 you have Larry meet him, we give him a guarentee and he doesnt work out for anyone. See Amare.

i'd love to pull something like that off Fish, but i don't think ATL would give up their pick... we could probably get Al Harrington though, which i am all in favor of doing... maybe an offer of Francis for Harrington straight up might do it?

if ATL doesn't go for that, maybe we can package the 2 #1's along w/Mo T or Jalen's expiring deals to POR for Ratliff & their pick? not likely to happen there either i suppose... to move up into the top 5 is going to be near to impossible.

the deal would have to go down on july 1st with the understanding that atlanta would be drafting for us...but then ANYTHING can happen in the interim from draft night till free agent period begins.

harrington ranks VERY HIGH on probable knick acquisitions this summer.

See Frye too. Refused to work out for the Jazz, Raptors and Lakers.

I think that's a trade the Hawks would seriously consider though I don't know if you could get the pick, though it is available. I think they would rather part with Josh Smith. I know you like him Fish, so maybe you still do that deal. Smith will be shoppped this summer, JJ, Childress, Salim and Williams are their untouchables. Francis would be good but Marbury would get people to the games. There is a huge contingency of Marbury fans in Atlanta. Curry could get you the pick though.
