I think Marbury felt he wasn't getting the calls - getting fouled and going to the line is a big part of his game. Also, it looked like Crawford was hot toward the end of the game, so he might've been deferring to Crawford.

it's 1 thing to defer to a hot teammate when he's got it going, but when you're wide open in the lane 7 feet away from the basket, you take the shot, end of story... you don't do what Steph did & pass the ball behind his back w/some stupid no-look & almost end up turning the ball over... did you see how Jamal was completely caught off guard w/that pass cuz he assumed Steph was gonna take the shot?... Marbury's simply gutless when it comes to taking the big shot... star players are supposed to step up to the challenge & embrace the pressure... he doesn't do that.

This is usually the time when Marbs gets confused. He does not know when to be "Starbury" and when to share the ball. Larry is very much in his head and I think he hates it.

Lets look at the glass half full, maybe we should look at recent kicking up as his way of resisting the enevitable. Deferring to Craw was a good think. Its hard for him, but lets give him credit.

Passing up the shot might have him over thinking the situation. Thats not the end of the world.

I think they are so not made for each other but the perverse challange to prove the world wrong must be appealing to each of them.

They should live together this summer.

I these statements are very fair.

Yeah marbs has always had trouble taking the big shot. He will take it but he's always undecided. He would rather kick it out.

Yup brown is definately in his head. That's old school right there. Marbs doesn't like it. Its not just marbs though. The whole team is screwed up. Its good to get in players heads but you have to leave something in there to jeep them comfortable and not so damn jumpy. Steve Francis is definately feeling it now. He needs a hug.

Woods, Nate, lee, frye, jalen, are probably the only ones that have not folded under brown.

James scores 30+ points and Marbury is accused of not playing defense and being a cancer and blahblahblah etc, etc...

Bosh scores 30+ points and Frye is praised for doing a decent job on Defense and playing Brown basketball.

Marbury's the max player who considers himself too good to follow a system that a HOF coach wants to implement... Frye's a rookie who's just beginning to show what he can do in the league... that's about as bad a comparison as anyone can make, but typical how you Marbury supporters will stretch anything to try & defend your man.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

hahahaha....how in the world am I stretching this??? Those are the stats against their man last night.

all I did was make an observation....I'm reading that Frye did a "good" job playing defense on Bosh and Bosh scored 30 points...thats it.

now you come running in here talking about money, payrolls and systems.....man...f all that. just stop finding fault in ONLY Marbury. Frye sucked on D last night...just like Marbury, Francis, Crawford and everyone else.....

but..whatever..I promised myself I wasn't going to get into these kind of discussions anymore.
