^^ are you trying to equate francis with jc or Q, and kmart with mot?

steph, francis, jalen, kmart, curry

with q1, lee, frye, jerome off the bench?

that's CRAZY...and i'm not sure in a good way...

Plus Nate and Q2 learning the game at the end of the bench.

Shame we can't do Penny + JJ + Picks for Kmart + Watson.

if we had Kmart and Francis in the starting five, I would hope we would start Lee or even freaking Malik Rose at the SF for someone who would be willing to pass up a shot. man, this could be really weird if this happens. can this really happen?

you know, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually thinking Miles/Ratliff makes more sense than Kmart UNLESS Watson is included.

A lineup of:
Marbury
Francis
Jalen
Kmart
Curry

is like a video game lineup, looks GREAT on paper, but how does it work. and I really don't like the idea of starting Jalen if we're trying to actually contend here.

a lineup of:

Marbury
Francis
Miles
Ratliff
Curry

has plenty of offense, but also some shotblocking (Ratliff and Miles actually blocks like 1.2 a game as well), defense and rebounding. Miles is in much better shape physically than Kmart, I know he's injured, but I don't think it's anything as serious as Kmart's.

I may be nuts, but I see the Miles/Ratliff deal working out better on the floor. Also, if we could hold onto Lee, to me, that makes the deal even better. I don't think we can keep Lee in a Kmart deal.

ESPN (Rick Bucher)reporting at 6:42 PM EST-that knick deals in the works are:

1. Miles, Ratliff-- Penny and 1st round

No word on Francis but Denver at ground 0 on deals

[Edited by - TheSage on 02-21-2006 6:47 PM]

I'd perfer Kmart (if healthy) over Miles and Ratliff. Martin is affective without the ball while Miles needs the ball to be affective.

Miles, Francis, Marbury and Curry just doesn't sound right to me. Curry might be the odd man out in this rotation.

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

i'm a big miles guy and believe he could become a defensive FORCE under lb.

i think a penny + pick deal for ratliff/miles is more pragmatic and has a higher chance of happening than any of the other ones.

i agree, i think the only way to get kmart would be to include lee which is a nono. besides, miles was really starting to blossom before his injury, and like you said, he already has defensive abilities.

It'll be fine with the new "two basketballs on the court" rule change (as per djsunyc.)

I'm thinking Denver would take back q-rich along with penny and David lee. Knicks could then get k-mart, Watson, and lenard.

That would make the Orlando rumor of craw, Taylor, and possibly ariza for Francis just pure genius.

The knicks would be totally revamped. I would like to see Larry bad mouth a veteran group like that. I think those guys would mesh pretty fast too. Playoffs or not I would hate to face a team like that.

I mean, it couldn't . . .

No, c'mon it couldn't . . .

No, I'm being serious, it couldn't . . .

at the end of the day I will root for whoever has New York across their chest but to give up Crawford, Ariza, AND Lee is absolutely HORRIBLE

Lee's the only one I'd be disappointed to see leave but he's no Francis. I'd LOVE to get rid of Jamal still.
