It'll be funny as hell when we have 2 all-star point guards in Francis / Marbury... and Larry Brown says we don't have any #1s.

that's true... maybe Battie gets shipped out for Watson? the salaries are a match i think

which would problably mean Nate/Lee/Mo/Q would be included in a separate deal for Kmart. Is that possible?

either that or Nate will never step foot on the court again with marbury/francis/watson/Q

The CrawFizz fell flat!

Dude wore #11 in honor of Isiah! Ouch!

This is Eddies best friend, and Nates big brother.

This will not enhance chemistry and trust.

Don't worry about Craw becoming an allstar anytime soon.

Penny going home to Orlando! Man thats a beautiful thing!

Francis is 6'3" and even bigger than Marbury. He's like a more physical Starks (minus the defense, of course!)
you know I met Starks on the street. I'm 6'4. He was at least an inch or 2 taller than I am.

Otherwise I agree. Marbury and Francis arent the same however. Marbury is a better passer and takes very good care of the ball. For a guy thats always putting it on the floor and attacking the rim his TO-A #'s are excellent. Francis is more athletic and a terrific rebounder. Great at grabbing boards and pushing the ball up court. I think they could play well together.

Plus Francis = star. Crawford and Ariza arent. I like them both but you have to make this trade.

ur right but still Marbury/Francis/Rose/Frye/Curry who's going to play defense? We need a SF/PF who can shutdown the other teams best player. Can you think of one? I can only think of Kmart and don't have the patience to give Curry another 6yrs to become a shutdown defender

One thing at a time.

why not go for the homerun. Brown, Marbury & Francis aren't getting any younger. If we can bring in Martin we have a good chance of doing what Detroit did. A frontcourt rotation of Curry/Martin/Frye covers everything. You need depth if you're winning without a franchise player

Guys, look at my post before, I dont think we can trade Battie after we get him becuase a certain # of days have to pass after you reciever a player via trade when its a multiplayer trade.

From the NBA Salary Cap:

I wanna see Marbs and Francis get every big man on every opposing team in foul trouble. Those two can shoot close to twenty FTAs per game if they want to and can also drive and dish out to teammates.

Did anyone else hear SAS insinuate that Francis and Cuttino Mobley were Brokeback Mountain for each other? He made it a point today to say that for some reason Francis isn't happy when he isn't playing with Cuttino... Kind of a cheap shot.

What if you make it two separate trades..Battie for Watson

then Nate/Lee/Taylor/Q or Nate/Lee/Jalen for Kmart?

- Mo T & Nate for KMart works

- Battie for Watson works

we could possibly end up w/this:

C - Curry / Butler
PF - KMart / Frye / Malik
SF - Jalen / Woods / Lee
SG - Francis / Q Rich
PG - Marbury / Watson

but you CAN trade him in a 1 for 1 straight up trade... see my post above

its a good deal--we needed to dump Crawfish and getting battie back in the deal gives us a vet back up C--not going to effect the outcome of this year, but will give us a glimpse of possibilities for next year.

Orlando will probably wait till the deadline just in case a better deal comes along.

I highly doubt it puts us in the playoffs. We'd have to win like 90% of the remaining games. But it will make the year much more enjoyable and give us a chance to see how well a Marbury/Francis backcourt can work together.
