how was AD a goodlocker room presence, when he was suspended, he wasable to practice and didnt even bother keeping touch witht he team?

Rose will eat minutes from-

Quinton - not a bad thing

Trevor - while he tests the water with playing guard in practice

Jamal - the practice competition will do him good

competition is a good thing

Rose will also eat minutes from NR and Lee.

I might agree with you if the season was salvagable.

I don't see the addition of Rose as helping the 'development' of the youth, and 'development' has been the mantra explaining whatever Brown is doing. I am not sure competition is important on this team. Do you really think Malik Rose won his starts/minutes through competition?

Adding Rose is not good if he takes minutes away from the youth considering this season is all but a done deal. If he makes the team better this year, it does not really mean anything, except Chicago picks lower.

Adding the Number 1 pick is a good thing. That's about it.

I think its a great trade.

If AD just expired we would simply loose the value of his expiring contract. We are not going to be under the within 2 years either way so pickin up Rose doesnt change the cap situation.

We plug the 2 biggest wholes on the team, starting SF and a shooter. We get a mid 1st round pick, that will be much better then the SA pick.

What is not to like? If we can do a similar trade with Penny and pick up another 1st rounder I might feel much better about keepin IT for another year.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

The subtraction of Davis opens the way for Mo or Frye to start.

I don't see a problem worth kvetching over before we see how it works over the nexit few months.

Who's kvetching? I just don't see that the addition of Rose at this point is really helpful to the development of the youth, and since LB tanked the first half of the season, development is all we have left.

That has been my motto all along. But that hasn't been happening. Now if that all of a sudden happens, it slows down the development of the youth by taking away their time, while any added wins mean next to nothing.

The first round pick is the best part of this trade.

I think this is a GOOD TRADE for the KNICKS but for all the wrong reasons. Sorry about not being excited about this. I just think this is ZEKE's way of getting fans to continue coming to the GARDEN. This trade was talked about for a couple of months and if ZEKE wanted to win back then he would have done it back then. I think it's too damn late for him to try and salvage the season. We were losing back then and if he really wanted to right the ship he should've done it then. I'm really starting to believe that ZEKE is the snake that everyone put's him out to be. This franchise is going to be run down to the ground before it is all said and done. I had faith in ZEKE until this moment. Again I like the trade, just think its at the wrong time of the season.

babcock rejected this trade, thats why it didnt happen sooner.

I wouldnt have done this trade unless it was for Tor's pick w/ top 3 protection. Otherwise wait a couple weeks. No reason to jump the gun.

If Rose is healthy I actually like him. He's very competitive and intense.

cap space... dont laugh. The Suns gave away a top 5 pick just to keep cap space. We are giving the Raptors over $15mm in cap space next season. Sorry, but thats worth more than a crappy pick in the late 20s. Zeke overpaid and acted too quickly. AGAIN

with craw, nate, lee, and taylor off the bench...i guess you could try and find q1 some minutes if you have to

I rather start Taylor. Frye defense and rebounding is atrocious. If anything Mo Taylor might gain some trade value. He's the best post player we have.
