and you're basing your assumptions on the optimistic viewpoint there is no mountain Larry Brown can't climb.
Are you arguing that Crawford will get worse? or not improve? Because either is absurd. He's improved every season, albeit gradually. He looks especially bad now, but let the law of averages work out, and he shows flashes again. Larry made Billups better and, while Crawford may never get to that level, he is without question a tradable commodity if developed with patience. Players naturally get better and ignoring that because of a slump in performance isn't going to help you arrive at an accurate evaluation of a player. I guess what I'm saying is, with his potential, there ain't no mountain high enough. And there's no GM worth a spit that would send Crawford splits for a guy who shoots bricks without the benefit of picks or a lick of cap space.
Wells, first of all, isn't coming here - and if you pretend hard enough, it still won't happen. And if he did, Crawford would still get 30 minutes at the 1 and 2 - Wells splits time at 2 and 3, Q gets 25 at 3, Woods gets 10 at 3. Of course, this hypothetical is besides the point because, once again, if you wanted to trade Crawford, waiting would still be the best option.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.
