I'll relax if they are still winning when the buzzer sounds.

You're right Rich, all that matters is a win.....but a win like this does not build confidence. This is one of those "whew we dodged a bullet wins".....after having a 25 point lead. Knicks aren't ready to turn the corner, they're at the crosswalk and afraid to cross!! With that said, I'm glad they won. You guys have a good night.

But a loss would have been devastating. I think they can build on the win. We'll see.

i can appreciate this win because it was done with D first. D creates O. we gave effort and it showed. if you want to improve from within, you must give 110% on both ends and good things will happen. teams that win in almost any sport--usually the team that plays harder and smarter

all this losing gets you down as a fan, good to see the knicks play a hard, smart game and hold composure at the end----or atleast the clock ran out

Curry 27pts 10reb
Frye 18pts 7reb

that's why we should never get too down. we have a future with those two.

and props to Marbury for playing in a lot of pain tonight and leading the team.

I dont care what players any team has--only consistent effort on both ends where you are the aggressor shall equate to long term, big time winning. Perfect example is the NE Patriots. Numbers mean nothing--its the team UNIT that means everything--how a team plays collectively.

of course. but in this league it helps a lot to have bigs.

the team has been playing really well when Marbury has been healthy since the Milwaukee game on New Year's Eve. the only bad game over that 11 game stretch was the Toronto loss where they didn't defend at all.

with so many new players it's going to be a work in progress and hopefully the defense gets better as the year goes on. but Curry is learning, Frye is learning, Lee is learning, Nate is learning, heck Qyntel is learning and even Craw is learning. we have a lot of rotation guys 25 or younger and a coach that has a history of teaching D and making teams into second half monsters. I think Boston got weaker with their trade, I think we're better than Chicago and Washington, I think we can make the playoffs.

yea, I wonder where that thread about curry and howard is now.... If Howard would of had a good game tonight, briggs would of had 5 new threads talking about trading both fyre and curry for Howard. Look at the numbers both guys put up, and compare that to the threads briggs created tonight..... hmmmm

anyway, good game by the bigs, Howard or anyone on the magic could not handle curry, but I would like to see this on a more consistent basis...

good win for us tonight as we needed it. i was waiting for the comeback and actually expected them to tie it but we prevailed.

it looks like curry does well against howard as he did well in orlando as well. i understood why curry and frye looked better as orlando doesn't really have a veteran frontcourt. howard is one year removed from high school and battie is nothing special (and throw in kasun as well). so they took advantage.

now we need to see it vs. webber and dalembert.

It's weird because I know Howard is a really good player but every time I've seen him this year he hasn 't looked it. How the heck do we manage to hold him down???
