Hold your horses. West coast Sonic fan here. I will be the first to say that Ridnour is a point guard in the old school mode, crisp passer, smart, hard working. All of this works good for a team with great shooters. He is my favorite player, been following him since College. Seattle would not trade him for Marbury because of Marbury's contract, not his talent. The sonics are very cost conscious. They would never add 15 Mil to the Salary and pay the cap penalty. Never ever. That being said, Marbury would make this team elite, as in 60 wins. But then again so would Shaq.

Marbury is a nice player, not a true PG, more of a scoring PG; Rid is more of a true PG, and not the best defender, but a tireless worker and a great team guy. If you guys want to trade him to us straight across, We as the fans would love to have him. But we would also love to trade Danny Fortson for Shaq straight across too. That will never happen either.

And as an aside, we wouldn't trade a ball boy for Jerome James.

Is that what you call him "Big Game"? He was called "Big Snacks" out here.

He was well liked by his team mates. He was given every possible chance to succeed; just for whatever reason he only turned it on for like 6 games in his 3+ years as a Sonic; and those were the televised playoff games last year. Look at basketball-reference.com and see how many double figure anything games he has had in his career. There aren't many.

I just checked; he had 13 double digit scoring games last year, as a starter on a 52 win team. I wouldn't have given him a big raise in pay.

oh joe, advance warning. don't post tonight on this thread. NYK3 gets a little gnarly during games.

Thanks for the input btw. Nice to hear what fans of other teams think once in a while

the knicks cant trade marbury to the sonics cuase the only way to match up the salaries is to include reshard, whos too important to seattle.

despite winning a few, we have been behind double -digits in the last 9 games in the second half. If it werent for a couple of 2nd half miracles, I dont know where we wil be. If this road trip goes 0-3, if we lay over and drop--when does something happen or are WE content with our crp?

the way things are looking now I wouldnt be shocked if we did go 0-3 over this trip, depending on exactly HOW we go 0-3 I may or may not get seriously worried about this team. I still think this team needs a pure PG, so if zeke decides that immediate change is necesary than he can cut someone and sign one or trade for one.(earl watson become available on the 15). but as long as I see some good things from this knicks team and some genuine signs of improvement, on this road trip than I wont get overly concerned even if we go 0-3, becuase we have alot of home games coming up. but if we just get blown out all three games, without even putting up a good fight then I think its fair to enter into "panic" mode.

i see teams like orlando at 7-10, seattle at 8-8, and even portland at 5-10 and i just shake my head. we have had the schedule from hell but damn it, we can't be worse than those teams, right?

IF IF IF we didn't have frye, we're looking at 2-3 wins right now. and that's a shame how we HAVE to rely on our #8 pick despite the $120 mil payroll and all the hoopla.

i understand, new players, new coach, new system. but are our players SO fundamentally bad that they can't adjust to what lb's asking of them by now? i mean we play a great 3 quarters in detroit but follow that up with an AWFUL 4 quarters at home vs a dud team. i know, i know, it'll click...patience. THANK PETE that we're in the CRAPLANTIC division.

It's no fun talking about what will realistically happen tonight since it looks really bad for us, so I'm going say Qyntel shuts down Rashard and goes for 25, sealing the win with a steal and breakaway jam with seconds to go.

yeah Im all for living in a fantasy world, nate will have 25 pts and no turnovers, crawfrod will shoot 55% from the field, and jerome james will have 20 pts and 10 rebs.

on a side note, it would be GREAT if marbury steps aside for the start tonight to let nate and craw start it up. lb is doing the hometown thing but he can not start steph, nate, AND craw together. it would be a good sign of leadership from steph.
What?!?!? Have you lost your mind? First of all Steph does not decide who starts and who sits.
2nd, starting Nate and Craw because they're from Seatlle is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
You are losing it.

every other player has started in their home city. even mo in detroit. ariza in la la land. so i'm going by what lb is doing. he's gonna want to start nate and craw. i don't think he's gonna go 3 guards tho, especially with q not around. i'm just saying that it would be a nice gesture if steph goes to lb and be like, "if you want to start nate and craw tonight" then go ahead - even if it's for like 2 mins.

you know my starting lineup everynight:

steph, craw, rose/arize, frye, curry - end of story.

YOU CALLED IT! NATE AND CRAW WILL START I JUST HEARD IT ON THE RADIO!

LB has GOT to stop with this madness. But we can afford to do it against their guard oriented offense.
