You're going to be missing alot of 1 game winning streaks and mediocre basketball, are you sure you want to wait that long? If we're not playing consistently by the break and winning there is no use watching every game.

Sweet mid ranged game which I LOOOOVE from guards. Improving defense. Improving PG skills. Display of leadership. Shown commitment to improve on just about everything. Hustles. Willing to hit the BIG baskets, and he's shown to be a lot more clutch than Steph. If Jamal was the one taking the game winning shot, I'd be thrilled.

And back to the mid range part. My fav Knick was Allan. Outside the Knicks, my favorites are Ray Allen, Rip, Redd all those guys. I know Jamal isn't in their league, but I like the kid anyway, and I'm rooting for him harder than anyone.
Heck if Jamal was doing these things as a rookie, I'd be excited. But I expect more progress from someone with his talent by seasons six. He might have a good mid range game if he's wide open, but his shooting is bad mid range or longer when he puts up stupid off balance shots.

People just have higher expectations for Steph. If Jamal had the 4th Q and overtime that Steph had yesterday, eveyrone would be saying it was a huge clutch performance. Maybe Jamal has hit more memorable shots in the final five or six seconds, but that's not how I'd measure clutch. I'd look more at FGs, assists, and defense in the final quarter of close games.

I am pretty sure you're 100% wrong. First off, the mid range game: Newsflash, he's a VERY GOOD midrange shooter when being defender and he doesn't jack up shots anymore. He makes a move and gets the defender off balance and then shoots the J. Either that, or he takes it to the whole, or drives and pulls up, and he almost never jacks up a 3 unless the shotclock is about to expire. So I don't know where you come up with that statement. Maybe you still think it's last year.

On to the 4th quarter performance: If you watched the game the other day, while Steph turned it on as well, Jamal was just as important a reason for the victory, in the late minutes, b/c wait what? Oh yeah, his mid range shooting. He's just as important piece in the 4th quarter/overtime minutes as Stephon and does just as good and sometimes better. And like I said, his defense is getting better and better now.

Bonn, you loved the guy for a majority of last season and suddenly, all you do is bash the guy. He either killed someone in your family or John Kerry is your main role model (Not that I like Bush. I see no other way of explaining it.

I definitely never loved him. LOL. I was more optimistic at one point when he was younger and entering a new team, though. I loved the deal we did to get him because we gave up nothing, but I never loved Jamal.

There's no point in addressing the basketball content of your post. We obviously just see Jamal entirely differently.

I know you're not a #s guy, but I'll post this in case anyone else is interested
He makes a move and gets the defender off balance and then shoots the J. Either that, or he takes it to the whole, or drives
If you go to 82games.com, 85% of his shots are jump shots and 15% are close. He has the quickness and ball-handling to be outstanding at attacking the basket. He's just too much of a wuss to do it often. For a good comparison, Marbury has 51% jumpshots and 49% close shots.

In the fourth quarter w/less than 5 min left and the score +/- 5 pts, Jamal's shooting 33% from the field. (Marbury's is 67% actually; I don't expect it to stay that high, though. That would be insane.)
