chris paul had something like 2pts yesterday in PRE-SEASON is he a bust too?

He had like 9 assists that constitutes 18 more points so he actually ended up with 20 if this was hockey

Yes, Andrew Bogut was the first pick in the NBA draft but so what, that doesnt mean he has to perform this year.
Actually yes it does. That was the whole reason for picking him at #1. The number 1 picks is supposed to be ready to play right now, right away. Especially how he was hyped as the next great center. EVERYONE said he would come in and be dominant, except for me and a few others. There was a concensus about his talent and NBA-readiness, and now that that is clearly not the case, everyone is back tracking.

#1 means, ready to play NOW!!!

Try watching Bogut in college. Both him and Duncan took teams that had NO other players on the team deep into the tournament. If your asking me that question, I'm guessing you've never seen Bogut play.

No one is ever the next great center in their first year of the league. I would bet the house that Boguts career is benefitted by him coming off the bench to start his career instead of being thrown out into the fire. And since when does #1 mean "ready to play now" I could understand if a championship team was drafting #1 then it would make sense but this is for the long-run and not for this year. I dont think the Bucks scouted Bogut all that time and now all the sudden right before the season started said "Damn this guy isnt going to make it in the NBA, lets go out and get a Center" No. They got a good player for Bogut to play next to. Bogut is going to payoff huge for Milwaukee, maybe not this year but certainly next year and all the years down the road.

this is what it comes down to. I just think Milwaukee is handling this the right way. Instead of forcing Bogut to be the man right away and win only 20games like every lottery teams does with their #1 pick, they realize they have good players around him so there's no need to rush him. Just 2yrs ago he was a tweener. He's still learning and growing. From what I saw from him last year there is no doubt in my mind he will be at least a 15/9/2 top center in the nba. If not this year, next year and magliore who was always a little overrated or Gadz roles will be limited

exactly why jeopardize wins like every team that's in the lottery every single year do. I'll have a lot more respect for Bogut if he can averaged 19 & 7 off the bench and plays a key role in milwaukee going to the playoffs than if he averaged 17 & 9 and won only 20games like most Rookie of the year winners do

So i guess Isiah trading for Curry means he's not confident in Frye. Come on get real. When you can add a good center in this league..you do it. This trade is good for Bucks. They needed another big man and they got a very good one. Magloire will avg 15 points 9 points 1.5 blocks and play his good defense. Bucks are much improved.

The word on Milwaukee sports radio is that Magloire will play PF with Bogut at C...we'll see when the season starts.

I hope so since I drafted Bogut lol and I would beat on that being the starting frontline. Gadz & smith dont cut it as a starting nba frontcourt

Larry Harris, the Bucks GM, said Magloire will start at the 4 or 5, Joe Smith has knee issues (won't start), and he thinks Magloire can play alongside Bogut. From what I hear Bogut, despite what he says, will be starting with Magloire.

Bogut is still developing, he will only get better. He already came a long way from where he was 2yrs ago. You can't teach his size, skills & toughness period

...you've never seen him play...

haha, thats funny

who knows, but he wasnt the #1 pick. #1 picks should be able to start right away, thats what makes them a #1 pick.

What makes someone the #1 pick is that they were chosen #1 overall.

no, isiah getting curry means Frye is better suited for PF. all that people are saying, where are the minutes for bogut going to come? magloire averages 30minutes a game at center, gadzuric gets 20+minutes a game. now unless bogut is going to get time at pf, his minutes are going to be horrible for being a #1pick. how can you justify a #1pick getting few minutes in his 1st year. #1pick is supposed to be the best talent in the draft, but now you make a trade to reduce his minutes even further. If i thought he was the real deal,, i wouldnt care if i lost with him starting, because in the long run it will pay off 10-fold.
