No, I agree that from what I can tell the government screwed this up, but I'm also saying the situation was made exponentially worse by the violent actions of some of the people down there.

The majority of those people are poor and did their best with the limited resources they had. Negative results from che post-Katrina chaos does in no way justify the sick and twisted bias against Black people that some of these media outlets are spewing with their coverage. That's what Kanye's clip was about (staying on topic).

Yeah I gotcha. Work with me here now. You feel like the situation in NO is more equivalent to like when a woman gets raped by some guy....and Knight, i'm not saying the guy is black or anything.....just a guy.....but you're saying you've gotta check on the womans character first right.

For instance if she's a slut, or she didnt' have many clothes on, or first she said yes and then she said no....Right? I mean, if she did any of those things she must have asked for it.

Sorta like the folks down in NO right fella. Basically, if the folks down in NO didn't heed the words of the goverment officials about leaving the city prior to the hurricane, then they shouldn't be complaining about starving outside for 5 days (just the one that lived of course).

And, for the ones that are violent...well damn the good valued Orleaneans that happen to be in their vicinity. They'll just have to perish along with them because this country, it's government and especially it's President should not be held responsible for having to send anyone into a hazardous situation to save...god forbid...a US citizen (Of course that doens't apply to an Iraqi citizen...we've got 100k plus to deal with their issues)

Check the beginning of this thread, I said I wasn't sure if Bush was racist or elitist but he sure failed a lof of people who needed him. I also took him to task for not meeting with crowds in New Orleans and flying overhead rather than being on the grond at say the Convention Center or the Superdome. How come reporters could get to those areas but George W. chose not to? He is a blithering idiot cowboy who is grossly ill equipped to be President of this country. How's that for my own opinion?

Hmm...Okay, you don't have to answer. It's okay.

Knight..honestly. You're a human. If I saw your hanging from a building and I was in a position to save your life i'd give my life to do it. I'm serious as all get out. That's how my folks raised me. I dont even care if you would leave me to die in the reverse situation.

It all comes down to this. No one..especially Bush...can be blamed for a storm wiping out NO. Cut budgets etc. It don't matter.

What does matter is the response after the hurricane. I submit, that at least 314 white, black, blue, greeen, purple and yellow Americans ran into two plus 80 plus story buildings to save humans. They didn't care what color they were. They did it because they were in it to serve....TO SERVE..their fellow man/woman.

Our President....dropped the effing BALL. Not because he hates black people. I basically think he's a decent person. Not a bad guy..just in way over his head...and 100k plus soldiers...and 100k plus NOrleans have to suffer for it...and even your monkey @$$ has got to pay for it at the gas pump.

Respect life..respect your fellow human...and it will be returned.

Now obviously i've got kin people down in that hell hole. And obviously I take a bit offense to your position on any hesitation towards saving them.

I am not a religious man but I do agree with one thing...or sentiment.
