seemingly, TT's sister's death has effected him for the 7 years prior to last season as well in that case...& i really don't mean to make light of his sister's passing, but the facts are simply that TT has been a gross underachiever his entire NBA career, & there's nothing that suggests he'll ever be anything more than that.

and yet u just did

in my book you're a focking loser for doing that

i apologize if you took it that way...i just said i wasn't trying to make light of it but apparently the message did not come across...just the excuse being used by posters of his personal problems last year can't be used to explain away the prior 7 years of underachievement he's had over his entire career...that was the only point i was trying to make.

I see plenty of reason to believe LB will give tt the contract year of contract years.

Meaning what? He gives him a lot of time? Features him in the offense? Gets him to play at a whole different level?

I don't see it happening. i think TT is nothing but a tease. He and KVH are both fools' gold. The amount of money they both make off of their occassional brilliance and the hopee lhat it will ever amount to consistency is absolutely astounding.

Isiah said of KVH's softness: your not soft if you avg 8 rebounds a game!

Still traded him.

KVH gets hurt, gazy is afraid to get hurt.

I feel for TT's loss. But we all have a job to do and can use the pain to motivate and the time on the court as a refuge from your problems!

Camby's situation was weird. It shook him up badly. very delicate man and he did not shake it off. Again, I feel for him, but in the end nothing tragic happend. He could have gotten thru it. I know that sounds a bit hard, but this is a multimillion dollar business. All the help you can imagine is at your fingertips. The best docters, private planes, cars, you name, is at your finger tips.

Camby in many was a bit immature. Good talent. I think Isiah has learned to look into his draftees head a bit before measuring the talent on the court. Camby's career in toronto was a dissapointment, and in NY he reached his potential just briefly. There were reasons JVG did not trust him.

Fish.....It is not like I don't like Kurt, I just didn't think that he was a good fit for the Knicks, especially for what he could bring to the table. We needed an inside presence, not a jump shooter like Kurt. I admire his hard work and all, but his hard work didn't do our team any good. We were a team with no identity with Kurt at the front court...

thats backwards. So your OK with TT, a guy with great talent that pisses it away because he doesnt play hard and is afraid of contact, but you cant stant KT??? A guy with limited talent but through hard work has managed to keep himself out of foul trouble, become a top 10 rebounder in the NBA develop one of the better mid range jumpers in the league for PFs?

Give me a break, for a soldier I would have thought you would favor the guy with some heart. If Tim Thomas had Kurt Thomas' heart and balls he would be better than Rasheed Wallace.

watch how much you miss him. He's a good player and a valuable player. you need guys like that. What we really need is a star in the frontcourt or a high caliber player that soften the middle and we still dont have that. We are taller and thats about it.

You have made Kurt out to be everything thats wrong with this team and when he's gone everything will get better. Rebounding, toughness and defense are solid things to bring to the table... 3 things TT brings none off.

I agree we needed to go in different direction, even if it didnt make us better.

When KT's ankles give out on him, will we still miss him a whole lot? Isiah made the right move @ the right time IMO. I liked KT being here (he put in alot of work!), but there comes a time when moving on has to happen. I feel the same way regarding Allan Houston.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

You are wrong about me missing Kurt my friend. I will never miss him. I know that he didn't ask to be our sole frontcourt player the last 2 years, but the bad memories of him at starting Center and PF will never escape my mind. For what it's worth, we are a much better team without Kurt...I don't care if our boys upfront can't produce the numbers that Kurt did last season, but I know one thing, we are a balance squad now. What was our record the last 3 seasons with Kurt in our lineup? Look for that record to be greatly improved next season...

TMS is a loser and a hater.. what was the topic again? Oh yea.. TT will have some reason which we shall not discuss else we be labeled losers for sucking again this year and will have his normal 1 good game a week to make his stats respectable.

dido... same thing our record was with Marbury at PG, or Houston and Spree on the wings, or Doleac/Mutumbo/Nazr at center or Spoon/Harrington at PF.

Pizza, TMS was just talking about basketball here (TT). It didn't look to me like he was making any of this personal or insincere.

yep, TT will have 15 good games this year and...dare I say it...a career high in rebounds per game and points per game.

Yeah. Take that to the bank.

Can you give me the directions to that bank cause I need a loan for this business idea that I don't think in real life will get backed by anbody, so I figured if they vouch for TT having career numbers in rebounding they'll surely give me the loan lol.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

follow along w/the conversation nimrod...the reference to TT's family was made in RESPONSE to knicks1248 who referred to Camby's sister being kidnapped in a prior situation in comparing the varying Knick's fans' reactions to that & to how TT's play was effected last year because of his own personal tragedy.

i can care less what you think about me personally, but at least get your freakin' facts straight before you call people out for their comments...the topic is Tim Thomas & what we can expect out of him this year...the topic of personal tragedy was brought up in relation to TT's play last year...i made the comment that his play has been that way for his entire 7 year career prior to last year, so the personal tragedy thing can't be used to explain away every year prior to last year.

you, like the moron that you are, chose to bash me after completely misinterpreting the point i made to begin with...& after that you chose to take a high moral self righteous stand against me even after i tried to explain the point i was trying to make a second time...you call me a loser, i think you're a complete moron...we're even.
