I applaud Allan for being a competitor and thinking he can play again. And, if he can, I'd love to have him.

But if he can't, he should be honest with himself.

And would I walk away from $40m if I already had $60m+ stashed away? Probably- he has enough money to be act on principal.
It's easy to say that. But he probably has multiple houses around the world, many cars, and other things. He'd probably have to sell a lot of his possessions if he walked away from that remaining money. This would take a lot of time and effort and would result in the loss of things he values. I'm not saying he shouldn't do it, but it's not so simple as just handing back a paycheck and moving on as if nothing really changed.

How many houses can he have? I doubt he'd have to change his lifestyle. And wouldn't Dolan see to it that he was compesated in some fashion if he retired? Like a front office job as cheif prayer leader of the MSG network at $20m per year?
How many houses? Wealthy people tend to have houses everywhere they like to go. If I had Houston's salary, I'd have a house in NYC, a mansion in Niagara Falls, a house in either Florida or California, a few throughout Europe.
Compensated fairly? You mean like a buyout for $18 mil per year instead of the $20 mil he's owed?

If I was Houston, I would ask to be used for the amnesty clause so I could get a chance at a title.

This nonsense about how "if I had 60 mil I'd give up 40" needs to stop.

No you would not, so stop kiddin yourelf.

Nobody would, and anybody who says they would are just sayin it because it arent like they will ever have a choice.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

and you guys have to understand, just like the rest of us, players live up to their paychecks...so, no paycheck means no sustained lifestyle, no helping the kids with the promises he already made with the money, no playgrounds, no donations, no nothing.

So, I'd rather see amnesty, the kids are alright, the Dolan saves $40 mill and we are moving forward with life.

Sim...this agreeing crap has to stop!!

Yup, this cliffhanger is about to come to an end. Finally!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

H2O stays in a shocking development ! Isiah and Larry both agree that H2O is to important to the franchise to just be disgarded. Although he may never regain his status as a great player, however LB & IT realize that they can continue to let H2O rehab during the season until he can contribute via the PLAYOFFS !
If he still can't go then he will retire and the KNICKS will have saved $19 mil for using the clause on Shandon Anderson this year and the retirement of H2O ! TRANSLATION ? We will be under the cap in less than 2 yrs !
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!
