I don't think its a good trade for reasons other people stated but also harpring played for LB in philly for one season and it didn't work out well. The trade is NOT happening.

Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years.
First Leon move I hate

This trade is risky at best. And Bobs is making the argument quite poorly. Harpring's long-term value for the Knicks is 0. And his short-term value is irrelevant. But, that's fine. He could be the worst player in the NBA and the positives of the trade stay the same - potential cap space in 2007. But, even that DEPENDS on follow-up moves which may or may not be doable.
The only way to get meaningful cap space is with follow-up trades dumping Malik Rose and Mike Sweetney - giving us roughly 14 mil to work with as a starting salary and an offer as large as 90 mil over 5 years. That makes things interesting with the grab bag including Lebron and Wade.
And the speculation about Crawford's role under Larry Brown is not convincing. Crawford is a potential all-star and, if he can reign his game in, he may be able to get it done under Larry. Bottom line -you need to get atleast equal long-term value or heavy cap space. Anything else would be squandering an asset.

WHAT IS THIS B.S. that Chad Ford wrote about a possible trade of Crawff for Miles???? Do we really want Miles in N.Y???? Derick Anderson is a much better player than Miles...If we are going to swop Crawfford, we will still have a need at the SG position. Therefore, it would be best to trade Crawff and a maybe Rose or another PF to Portland for Derick Anderson and Przbyla...
