Maybe a lot of people cut their cables subscription to save money? Or a lot of people are now watching via online that is not included in the metrics

But interest of the games should increase especially in the 2md round of the playoffs in the east and from the get go in the west

I cut and have YouTube TV. Can’t say I can still be counted or not.
1:30 games not exactly good start times either. They count.
Vs. what other sports?
I can see how Baseball first 2 weeks might be novel.

One of life’s greatest mysteries to me is how anyone can watch baseball, I find it so boring to watch one game let alone the zillion they play each season

Tough break for Donovan Mitchell- played great most of the game but then made the boneheaded 8 second violation that pretty much cost them the game

Sixers are a mess with 2 horrific contracts (Horford and Tobias Harris. It's like they spent the last 2 seasons doing the opposite of what they should have done (lost all their 3pt shooting, replaced it with PF/Cs)

Nuts! Looks like we have a competitor in the 'take on a contract for picks' field:

The Charlotte Hornets project to be one of the only teams with significant cap space this offseason, but they are unlikely to use it.

“Even though we’ll have cap room, I don’t feel free-agency is the answer for us at this time,” Mitch Kupchak said. “So that talent is going to have to come from the draft or a trade.”

The NBA is not yet sure what number the cap will come in at due to the uncertainty surrounding the league's finances amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We don’t know what the cap is going to be. Fortunately for us, we’re not contract-heavy,” said Kupchak.

The Hornets, however, could use their cap space in a trade with teams looking to create more room.

“Cap room is generally considered a valuable asset,” Kupchak said. “Whether it’s to sign players or acquire a player in trade.”

A shame, he keeps getting injured just when he looks ready to go on a roll.

Oh man. Never thought about it that way. My boys love the NBA and the NFL. They love watching highlights and fantasy football. However, they can't watch a whole game. It bores them.

Same. I teach HS and my students love the NBA! It's all they talk about when we get free time. They rarely watch whole games, they usually watch games condensed down to 10-15 mins worth of highlights. And they watch everything on their phones!

not going to apologize, I was a big critic of Melo when here (and after) but I was kind of glad that he he hit a crunch bucket tonight and beat LBJ. Not sure if i'm going soft as i get older, whether i'm a sucker for underdogs, or if my hatred of LBJ's personality (can't criticize his play which is amazing) influenced this reaction

also had to slap myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming but Hezonja had some quality minutes bringing the ball up, distributing

and while i'm rambling, if the knicks want my advice, as they scout FA and draft they need guys who can play well in the crunch. there aren't any real stats for that that i know of but it's more indicative of the quality of the player than FT% IMO. shows mental toughness, focus etc, and when you think of how many games turn on a given possession or two... I say this because the Portland backcourt in particular reminded me how key that is.

This is an absolute disgrace, especially when you consider how the police spun it at the time (think the officer even threatened to to sue). Fed up of them lying.

Good to see! Hope they keep winning, though then we'll have to deal with all the classic news cycle whereby the media blame us for their stories being BS:

Will AD leave the Lakers for the Knicks? ----> sources say AD is likely to go to the Knicks ----> AD re-signs with Lakers ----> ha ha Knicks thought they were going to get AD!!! ha ha! They're CRAZY! Who'd want to sign there?!?

Also very glad for Melo to get some vindication

Whats crazy is that the police knew the truth AND STILL BACKED the officer.

And the officer went ahead and sued him knowing his camera recorded the whole thing!

The department also lied and said the video corraborated the officer's account. They also stonewalled requests for the video. Corruption at it's finest combined with a refuse to lose mentality. What made them think this would fly with Masai's resources? And that doesn't even touch on the officer's history of fraud. I would hope they cop's career is over, but history has shown that he'll probably get another chance.
