that's exactly what i think... play Phillips as a nickle Safety & have him spy Westbrook all game long... he's a hard hitter so he will help on run D as well... we can play 7 in the box on most sets & dare McNabb to beat us over the top... just can't let Westbrook break any big plays on screens & draw plays cuz that's their biggest play threat on offense.

& the Giants know the Eagles just as well as they know us, so there's no advantage to either team... everytime these 2 teams play it's a war & i expect no different next week.

Playoff tickets go on sale to waiting list tues...hopefully I'll be able to pick some up. Should definitely be a great game.

On a side note, I think Arizona can give Carolina some trouble. They'll be staying in warm weather and played a very good game against them earlier this year. If they can jump out to an early lead they will make things very difficult for Carolina as they will have to be able to throw the ball to get back in it.

Since I work in south central jersey, i get to sit in a crowd of Eagles fans.

1) McNabb sucks; always has, always will.
2) Eaglets win in week 14 in which we all but had the division tied up.

Why I think the Smeagles blow:

1) McNabb sucks; always has, always will.
2) Eaglets win in week 14 in which we all but had the division tied up.
a) Sloppy, mistake prone game which was highlighted not by Eagle defense, but by dropped Giant passes and injuries to the Giant backfield.
3) Burress crap was fresh then, old news now.
4) Giant backfield is healthy now.

I'll be honest, Philly scares me at this point. They have had all the momentum coming into the post season.

I have confidence that the Giants can take them, but they'll have to bring their A game.

I am deathly afraid of the Eagles. Philly reminds me of the Giants of last year. They already owned us once at home only a few weeks ago and they are on a big hot streak right now. I hope we come in with our heads in the game and remember the embarrassment the Eagles gave us a while back.

Agree. I don't know if I'm deathly afraid of them but I do think they pose as our biggest threat, just because they know our schemes.

Me too... I don't want to deal with their D, and they probably understand Spags better than any other team

Spags knows the Eagles defense better than any other team does too... he knows all the ins & outs of their defensive schemes just like his mentor knows ours... in the end i am putting my eggs into Eli's basket to be the difference in this game... it's gonna be a war, that much we know for sure... the team that makes the least amount of T/O's likely wins... we better get some pressure on Donovan McSlab next week, cuz Philly will definitely be getting pressure on Eli... hopefully Gilbride will come up w/a nice scheme to counter their blitzing defense & keep them off balance a little... Offensive line also needs to control the LOS & control the playclock... keep the Eagles' D on the field & wear them out... then maybe E, W & F can break a big play to seal the game late.

Ouch. Guess Carolina did not take Arizona too seriously. Anyway, it doesn't matter who our opponent was. Any team can be dangerous in the NFL on any given day. Giants have to come out with fire and desire.

BTW, I will be at the game tomorrow freezing my ass off and rooting as hard as I can.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Tomorrow's winner will represent the NFC in the SuperBowl. No way the Cardinals travel to Giants Stadium in January and win. No chance whatsoever. And if the Eagles can beat the Giants, the Cards aren't stopping them either.

In the AFC, it's Pittsburgh's to lose. The Chargers aren't beating them in Pitt and Baltimore is very beatable. Tennessee should have won 100 different ways and blew every one. They absolutely lost that game, Baltimore didn't win it. Baltimore even needed help from the refs when they blew the delay of game non call on their FG drive to win the game.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I'm going to be heading out there extra early for this. I'll be back way after the game to discuss the events that transpired. I'll try to keep warm in the freezing conditions. Extra layers of clothing FTW! I will take pictures and post them here sometime tomorrow. Enjoy the game and go Giants!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Antonio Pierce should think about retiring or the Giants should seriously think about cutting him. He continues to lose a step every game now. Reed wisely running plays directly at him.

Totally agree with you. Pierce has had a TERRIBLE year, he's clearly lost not just a step but maybe a few.

This was an absolute choke-job performance by the Giants today. Absolute choke-job.

Wow it seems like the NFL is the land of the upsets right now. The Giants can still turn it around but time is running up and they keep missing opportunities. The defense is on vacation and the offense is subpar.
