The vast majority of NBA players and many coaches kneeled during the national anthem during the NBA's restart last summer in Orlando, Florida, when the league incorporated messaging supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and other social justice causes in the court design and other ways.

Good, it's so outdated. For fans that need to hear the national anthem every game, they can just play it on their phone before the game and stand up in their living rooms, if it upsets them so much.

People have speculated that this may have been the deal with Westbrook last season and Mo Bamba now. I hate to see anyone deal with this and I hope it drives home the point that this thing carries serious long-term dangers.

Agreed, (I suspect that’s also why Aron Baynes has also been so poor this season, he said he had COVID bad in the offseason and it was taking him a lot of time to get back to health). In some ways my fear about this virus hasn’t been so much dying, but becoming permanently diminished by it- I’ve had a lot of clients with chronic pain, fatigue and long term health issues, and you really don’t appreciate what it’s like to be pain free or at full health until you lose it.
