RIP William Friedkin. I was a kid growing up in NY when "The French Connection" premiered. I remember what a big deal it was back then. And how it changed film making.

They just released "To Live and Die in LA" in 4K. Also one of my favorite films. Waiting a little. Its almost $40 now, but it will go down.

Did he do the Exorcist? That movie scares me, wasn't Catholic but as a Protestant kid it scared me. Jump ahead a few decades and when my daughter saw it at age 14 she laughed thru the whole thing.

Yes he did. Actually met the real exorcist they based the movie on when I was in high school. Told us about one of his exorcisms. Sounded like the movie.

He also did " Cruising " with Al Pacino. I'm a proud NYC resident and I love films which feature NYC especially in the 80s. Crushing was a strange flick and NYC the West Village and East Village back then must have been a hoot.

I'm usually pretty good at remembering who directed a film. But I honestly dont remember Friedkin directing "Blue Chips". Like the article says, its held up.

"Sorcerer" is another Friedkin film worth checking out.

Any pepper-heads here?

I just placed an order here. Based on the reviews (on Amazon), I'm pretty psyched to try some of these out.

Pizza, grilled chicken, chili, eggs.

Thai chili flakes will be going on some steamed wontons. 🤤

That post partum weight can sometimes do wonders. Is she carrying it in the right spots? I'd like to see a thick Alba...

Alba is pretty but you realize she has a common look throughout Latin America right.
? She is pretty ordinary. Just saying. 🇵🇷 🇨🇺 🇩🇴 For starters.Thick Alba for sure. Rice, beans, plantains and bananas will do that in the bestest ways possible.

Ive been fascinated by flight simulators/VR since I was a kid. Read up on it. But I have yet to buy a 3D system or VR goggles because the tech still wasnt there.

For the first time I've found a system worth getting. The Apple Vision Pro.

https://www.apple.com/apple-vision-pro/

Watch the demo film. Its not full immersion VR, but it still looks like a game changer. Apple patented the technology and have been secretly working on these goggles since 2007.

Really cannt afford one ($3499) but I might sell some stuff I dont use to get one next year. They look that good.

I just started season #1 and it's good. Never read the books, but I might start. It6 easy to see that a lot of elements from Dune were inspired by this and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite sci-fi series at least until we get any upcoming seasons/mini-series/movies from the Expanse universe. Be warned, the first few episodes are dense.

Finished season 1 and I'm liking it a lot. Not sure I liked it as much as the Expanse, but they share many of the same elements. But it also shares a lot with Dune, though I should add the the books were published before Dune It gets a 👍

In 69 years there are now 37 Godzilla movies. This one seems to be a total reboot and takes it to 1945. Looks horrifying given the Atomic detonation of Nagasaki and Hiroshima that is the back drop of the plot.

Man... This documentary is so infuriating. This guy is such a scumbag and it's clear he still doesn't realize the ramifications of his actions.
