Hate that PHX could not find a way to extend given they were 8-0 for the bubble. Memphis backed in but the regular season all matters and they had that lead going in.
The one game playoff is not entirely fair to Memphis but it is what it is.
I like Lillards stone cold chill and reactions on the court. No smiling, not preening just doing the job even keeled. They should dispense Memphis and move on to the Lakers and give them a time.
As for the Nets, this is not the team to hate. No Kyrie, No KD, not real issues. Could not help but admire the grit and fight they demonstrated. Allen's retro air stile with his head band had me singing "Everybody was kung Foo Fighing........" Next year we can all go back to hating on them.

For all the other threads, Lillard is the real absolute BEAST of Orlando!

Wish they'd figured out some sort of Delete 8 thing (could have done it in Vegas as a sort of NBA/summerleague/g league hybrid), because if the next season doesn't start until Feb/march, we won't have played any proper games for almost a year

Same!!!! Everything he said was on point and accurate!

For real!

He's my DREAM Knick player.

He would fit in New York SO WELL.

He has the character and mentality that can influence the team and the press and fans would LOVE him.

Oh, and he can rap! :)

Finally, after messing the franchise over, Divac is out at the Kings. Dumars is taking over:

So maybe they hire Perry after his contract with us expires (and Dumars stays on). Glad, as I wouldn't want Perry going there now with all our draft and FA intel

Kings are not in a that tough spot as it seems, but they were head scratching moves such as bagley over docnic and not picking up the option of Giles. But they have trade assets in the team(Hield, Bogdanovic, Barnes)

They need stability in coaching though

NBA commissioner Adam Silver says play-in 'is something we'd like to see stay' in future seasons

The NBA's new play-in format has been a resounding success

The institution of a play-in series ahead of the postseason has been a resounding success for the NBA in Orlando... and the play-in game hasn't even been played yet. The battle for the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds in the Western Conference led to some of the most exciting regular-season basketball we've seen in years, culminating in a thrilling 134-133 Portland Trail Blazers victory over the Brooklyn Nets to secure their spot in the play-in on Thursday. The new system has worked so well that NBA commissioner Adam Silver says that the league would like to keep the play-in, or some version of it, in place moving forward.

"I do see this as something we would embrace going forward," Silver told Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix. "As you know I've been talking about it for a while. We saw this as an opportunity to institute a form of it. I'm not sure if this would be the exact format going forward. But this is something we'd like to see stay."

Nice idea, it'll be interesting to see what the final proposal is

Thing about the play-in, do we really want to see added games for the 8th seed for the east? It creates no drama at all, just to get swept by the bucks.

If they go for best 16 makes the playoffs, then the play in becomes a little more interesting. You can even add slim lottery chances if the 17th seed, upsets the 16th seed

No surprise there, same with the Bulls coach getting fired.

It’ll be interesting to see what the Pelicans do going forward. They have some assets but their roster just doesn’t fit. Wonder who they keep and who they get rid of. Same with the Bulls.

The Pelicans should definitely hire Atkinson.

Glad the Blazers make the playoffs, but it was hard watching Ja Morant- if only we’d landed the 2nd pick last year, I’d feel way more enthusiastic about our immediate future

That series was a nightmare- the ridiculous calls Miami got in game 1 with Lebron and co flopping like crazy (including this ridiculous one, where he starts flopping then Suddenly realizes he has hurt him else while flopping):

Shump blowing his ACL, Baron Davis blowing his entire knee, Amar’e tearing his hand open hitting the glass housing of the fire extinguisher. The one win felt like a huge victory, but I haven’t watched a Knicks team be so completely crushed and defeated on every level, physically, mentally, emotionally- horrific! You can tell how much it traumatized us because we never talk about it on any of the Knicks boards!

That was the icing on the cake for game 1- we got absolutely DESTROYED! I felt ill watching that whole game

I really liked Davis, so seeing this happen to him was another devastating moment.

Don’t forget how Miami crushed Linsanity during the regular season. That game was very tough to watch.

Think blazers have a chance vs. Lakers.

-Momentum is on their side
-Lakers haven't been playing well
-the loss of Bradley is huge, Lakers should have gone with shumpert over Smith
-no home court advantage

Blazers just need to fix their defensive schemes.

I actually have the Blazers topping the Lakers.

I have it blazers is 6 or Lakers in 7.

This blazers team has 99 knicks written all over them.

Read an article saying while nba ratings are down, other sports are up. I think that’s because 8 teams weren’t in Orlando so a lot of fans didn’t bother. Also these were essentially pre-season games, so it’ll be interesting to see if they pick up in the playoffs. Hope so, they definitely deserve to do well

I wonder how the ratings were broken down. THey had 4 games on like every day and after 5 games teams were resting players after the playoff standings were pretty mucnh in line or teams did not care who they played.
Zion was the big name and he missed games, was managed, and was plump. NBA had some good games. Defense was no existent for the most part. Blazers got healthy. Suns were good story but nobody cared.
Nets also, but was a Gleague team over achieveing vs. Olympic team. Orlando, we keep forgetting Orlando is better than us. Morant can't shoot then we find out he playong with a bad hand. Grayson Allen is not Tony Allen? WTF?
