There's been a lot of talk/hype about this draft. I was expecting something like 1984 or the lebron draft

But I'm seeing what I consider smart posters analogize fultz to Eric Gordon. And Ball to Jason Kidd

Are the draftniks still thinking this is a super draft ? Seems like a lot of holes are being exposed

I think there's a ton of quality but no KD or Lebron. It was NEVER considered that kind of draft. This draft is super deep. You can find quality players just about anywhere. The top 5 is solidly above the rest but there is less separation than in a KD or Lebron Draft. The rest of the top 10 is still really good. Thank God we have our pick cuz this would've been an unfortunate thing to be on the sidelines. It's good we have Multiple picks and I hope we can get another late 1st or early 2nd.

This draft will produce a lot of good players but no surefire superstars. For what it's worth, Porzingis has more upside as a franchise cornerstone than anyone in this draft. It's important never to over value the draft. But the value in this draft will be a lot of good players.

theres a lot of DEPTH in this draft. not only with starting caliber PG but also big men and senior wings.

hard to tell if anyone will be a CANT MISS FRANCHISE star. im not sure anyone is that good in this draft. the closest thing is markelle fultz and to me he has 25ppg potential. but this draft seems to have lots of depth - starters that could play a long time. with a lil luck and the right situation they could be great great players

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I think this will be one of those drafts like 1996 where you have a run of REALLY good players sometime after the lotto in the first round. That draft had Iverson, Camby, Marbury, Ray Allen up front, but then a stretch in the middle of Kobe at 13, Peja at 14, Nash at 15, J Oneal at 17, Zydrunas at 20 (I remember that one so well because the Knicks had picks 18, 19, 21 and got John Wallace, Walter McCarty and Dontae Jones. Le sigh.

But these guys outside the top ten can be really good. And I'm sure there are plenty of guys I've never even heard of who can be great -

Og Anonuby
Justin Jackson
Jason Hart
John Collins
The Oregon guys - Bell, Brooks, Dorsey, etc
Frank Mason

The way the Knicks are going we'll be lucky to be in range of any of the PG's this Draft

Guys the win last night did nothing to our standings for a better pick we were and still are the 6 th worst record in the NBA ... it's nice to see baker and ndor get big minutes they are keepers for sure .... esp baker the guy is a top defensive guard for us off the bench.... ndor can bring it defensively as well..

Next year melo is gone.... like he said the writing is on the wall.

KP Willy and rivers? And 6th pick is a solid foundation paired with solid bench players like Noah, oquin,Thomas,Lee,baker .... go out and get a defensive juggernaut to be your sf.... KP is just starting to realize when he plays midrange he is unstoppable I can't wait to see how dominant he becomes in year three, with out the drama of melo surrounding the team, it has to take a toll on the young guys

Given yesterday's matchups...Knicks and Sixers should have been tied at 5 with 29 wins...Only saving grace is that the Kings won.

Totally amazing how mediocre the Bulls looked yesterday.

What's the bet that the sixers are the team that leaps into the top 3 and we spend the next few years lamenting these last few wins.

Smith is no CP3.not nearly as good a passer.
Jackson is no Kwahi. Wingspan is average and has tiny hands.

I see stuff like this and it makes me covet a guy like Josh Jackson or Jonathan Isaac in this draft.

I think the focus on the PGs might be leading some to underrate some of the non-PG players... for once I am glad Phil won't necessarily be obsessed with grabbing a PG.

At 6th/7th, the only PG I would drop everything for would be De'Aaron Fox. If it came down to Frank Ntilikina/Dennis Smith/Monk or Jonathan Isaac... I might lead toward Isaac at this point.

I feel like I need to see more Dennis Smith tape. I didn't see him in game action all season long... I'm very skeptical of him for whatever reason. He seems like the kind of PG Phil would hate.

What skillset separates De'Aaron Fox from everything we heard/thought of Mudiay entering the 2015 draft?

Fox actually proved it over a whole season. I'd say he's a better mid-range shooter, he's got that great little floater. I think he's a better passer too.

Honestly, I think you can make a case he's closer to Wall than Mudiay. He was feeding Monk a lot to the tune of Monk leading the SEC in scoring and monk being named player of the year.

I dunno, I think he could bust or maybe only be as good as Elfrid Peyton... But could also be more of a Rondo/Wall type. His outside shot needs work, but has good form to my eyes.

Honestly I think the bust potential of Ntilikina or Monk is higher. And I worry about Smith's game. He seems much smaller than he's listed. Maybe smith is a more explosive Lowry... i see something more like a Marbury or Francis style PG in him that looks for buckets over dimes. Isn't that a problem in the triangle?

Like I said, in some ways I'm more comfortable with Phil drafting a non-PG like Josh Jackson or Isaac both for our positional needs and because I worry any pg in the triangle will be just utterly confused about their role.

^ we might be better drafting a forward or sg. Triangle doesnt need a wall or rondo-type. However would love the next cp3 or Payton. Lots of teams will draft pgs and some of them will have vet pgs they no longer need

IMO only low IQ players get confused by the Triangle. Fox seems pretty cerebral despite being so quick and athletic. Fox didn't just wildly push the ball or drive out of lack of being able to run an offense. He was doing a lot in the flow of the offense and picking his spots to be aggressive.

I do agree that we don't have to target a PG. SF is also a need spot for this team. We need talent period but I think the Knicks will try to go BPA unless it's another C. The top ten is full of guards and wings.
