I doubt he re-signs. He drove to the basket without resistance and just simply outrebounded the Knicks.

Unless they make it back to the Finals, he's gone. His game just doesn't mesh well with Kobe and with what Phil wants from his "point forwards".

Maybe Marbury's lucks is turning- he picked a freaking awesome game to have courtside seats to!

Kobe is an a**hole...Ahmad Rashad, GP and CWebb are interviewing him on NBA TV and he said "we needed a game like this, a team to come out hot like that and hit 11 or 12 threes at the half, we needed this, we kept our poise and chipped away at the lead" he can't give the Knicks more credit than that?

tough loss

Al drove the ball, but he won't get the star calls. that is sad and a problem in this league..

we need to expand the bench past 7 guys..

we are better. last year on the second game of a back to back, we usually get blown out..

things are looking up.. the losses are tough tho..

As Earl mentioned before, thats great conditioning from the Knicks. Now you see why it was a great move from Mike D to not play guys who aren't in game shape, no matter how much you want to trade them.

He couldn't have said. "Great game tonight...the Knicks played a hell of a game...they played hard and are playing with much more confidence...it was a tuff win for us...we had to battle back and fight this fiesty team that got heart now"

We are playing multitudes better defense than in any of the past 2-3 seasons really. Actually I wouldn't blame this loss on our D- Kobe was making tough shot after tough shot down the stretch. You can't really do anything to defend him...that's why he's the best player in the league

Put it in the books: we're going to be above 500 by the start of February.

I believe so too....but I gotta start seeing this team close out games- too many close games we could've had have gone by the wayside in the last couple of weeks.

We always start to lose it in the 3rd quarter. Like we come out of halftime with no energy or continuity at times.

We need two more pieces in the bench. Call them another guard and a big man C.

Walsh will get something done soon!

we got the hustle...we are playing good enuff defense to win...we aren't gonna be a Jeff Van Gundy defensive team...but we got the offensive power...we just gotta learn how to close out games and execute in the end...only development and more time playing together will enable the Knicks to execute better in the end...overall the Knicks will finish at .500

Agreed 100%. Somehow we've improved on D despite 's attempts to completely deemphasize that aspect of the game. Not saying we have an all-NBA defense. Just saying we've improved considerable despite many people's predictions that would ignore defense entirely.

Game 1 Cleveland allowed 119pts they shot 53%
Game 2 Detroit allowed 110pts they shot 39%
Game 3 Golden State allowed 125pts they shot 45%
Game 4 Portland allowed 104pts they shot 44%
Game 5 Cleveland allowed 118pts they shot 51%
Game 6 Atlanta allowed 98pts they shot 49%
Game 7 Detroit allowed 92pts they shot 44%
Game 8 Chicago allowed 105pts they shot 47%
Game 9 New Jersey allowed 109pts they shot 54%
Game 10 Sacramento allowed 90pts they shot 37%
Game 11 Phoenix allowed 111pts they shot 45%
Game 12 Lakers allowed 116pts they shot 47%(this game may be the exception of them all because the team seriously played hard but.....)

Until our coach adjust our offensive scheme to be more conventional and not look for 3's every opportunity or slow the game down, most teams will always have a chance to beat us if not better because of how we play. Our coach and coma toast gm needs to address the roster. We can't keep fielding a 7 man rotation, get these guys some help.
