NBA League Audio is free at nba.com. I listened to a bit of the Rockets/Pelicans game. Not a bad option if you can't see the game.

It is a terrible name- doesn't even sound right next to the city's name "New Orleans Pelicans"... urgh! Shame Utah stole their name- New Orleans Jazz sounds perfect and actually makes sense. Unlike Utah Jazz.

I like their new look though and their new uni's, and I'm glad the Hornets name is going back where it belongs next season.

They need to get rid of Eric Gordon though, I'll never get how he wrangled a max contract, and then he had the cheek to whine for an entire year rather than consider himself lucky.

We were very high on Solomon Hill, apparently, and were going to draft him until the Pacers swooped in. So I'm curious to see how he pans out.

If I was Beverly I'd be p****d at the wage disparity- it seems like the Rockets prefer him as the starting PG.

Did anyone see Rose play? I thought he looked pretty bad from what I saw (to be expected- he looked like he hadn't played in over a year), but I find it odd that the media are saying he looked good. Are they just all trying to suck up to him to make up for the critical articles last season, or did he look better than the bits I saw?

Well Lin was brutal against OKC in the playoffs. I didn't watch the Rockets a lot last year during the regular season but I watch as many playoff games as I can and he really looked awful especially in game 1. I know he looked good when the Rockets beat the Knicks in that first meeting so maybe it was the match up.

I think taht was the story of his first year in Houston- inconsistent. Some nights he looked good, some he looked terrible. Most of the time he looked just okay.

Should be interesting what Morey does with Lin, does he consider his potential to be a championship pg or package him with Asik?

Can we get some posts about DWill's ankles and the depth of the Nyets at PG?

I want to read all about how everyone on the Nyets is a selfless facilitator at heart.

I've resisted commenting since I heard about his ankle injury, for fear of Karma retribution from the basketball gods!

DWill>Livingston>Tayshown Taylor

Im not sure what your NOT reading, but Nyets are freaking deep!

They also have Georgies Karls offensive guru on the bench now and will RUN!!!!

Doe the they RUN themeleves into a first round bouce?

Its why they play the games. Preseason propoganda for all teams is comical. Melo loves Bargi, Blacth loves KG, Joanie loves Chachi.....you get it.

Nalod likes Felton's game. Is he a championship PG? Dude has NCAA pedigree!!

No, he is not as good as Dwill but he don't have to be!

Get a small look at what the Nets look like right now. How do you guys think they're gonna look?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

What worries me about the nets are the infamous KG illegal Screens. How will we be able to stop D Will PNR with those screens.

What happened to Denver's offense? I just saw a few minutes but they were playing slow and featuring javalle in the post. It wasn't working.

First week of preseason games should hardly tell a story.

Nets starters played 12 minutes. Denver got a new coach. I doubt they repeat last season.

I think the mandate in Denver is to feature McGee in the post. I also think they give up a huge home court advantage if they don't run guys out of the building when they are home. Losing Iggy and Gallo for at least the first two months is going to hurt them. I forgot to watch the Nets. They are usually my go to team to watch if the Knicks aren't on but it will be harder to watch them with Pierce and Garnett.

Denver with Brian Shaw is not a Phil Jax clone but im sure will bring elements of the triangle to the game. Preseason is about trying things and one of them is working Javale to his potential. My take is nobody should run anyone in long stretches in the first few preseason games. Wilson did not play.

Nuggs had 14 fast break pts vs. 7 for Lakes, and 35 pts vs 28 in the paint.

They should try to get Javale in the paint. Im sure they will run at times two They got Nate also.

Nate, Wilson, Gallo and Mozz! Still the KNUGGS!!!

We have Melo, JR and KMart. Once a Knugg, always a Knugg!!!

Has Shaw stated they won't run?
