Brooklyn non-tendered Day'Ron Sharpe and Ziare Williams. I kinda like both. Sharpe is a good rebounder and Ziare is starting to develop as a really lengthy/rangy wing with a decent motor. Is starting to hit the 3 more.

Taurean prince is also someone that would be a great fit here. Especially if OG goes down.

I honestly dont know why he'd bounced around, seems like the prototypical lanky, long 3 & D player.

Precious can go.

THJR is also someone I hope ends up signing for cheap, he's made a ton of $ already anyway. At his age he'd be a great option for vet min. could even start here.

If I had to guess, we're gonna sign Horford and bring back Shamet.

Man, this would be so ideal for me. You'd need to give Horford 2 years for the TPMLE?

Who knows - maybe he takes a min if he's truly buddies with KAT and wants 1 more year in the league. Begley been mentioning his name a lot, so perhaps there are whispers out there. Begley also mentioned there is league wide interest in Shamet...

I mean we can offer someone basically a 2 year $13m deal, that's not shabby for a guy like Hortford.

If we did nothing but added Sharpe, Prince and T - Jones -- that would be 3 nice adds (a big, a wing and a PG).

Loved the Shamet pick up when we initially signed - particularly after watching pre-season.

He gets hurt - came back and looked like poo for most of season but what we saw in playoffs was a solid contributor who defended hard and is very good catch-shoot threat.

I want him at vet min but not for any type of TMLE move -- unless we were splitting it for 2 guys but still vet deal is way to go.

I would not bet on Beasly signing here. Too soon?
Grimes wants 25mil per. Not here. Philly really gonna go there?
Wright I doubt is in the mix.
Shamet? I suppose but fit with new coach?
While we know Thibs was not always voted well in those limited polls, this is no longer a factor.
Which makes a lot of players and views different now.

We all love josh. Who else might love him even more?

We do need someone with Shamet's skillset on the bench. Kennard looks intriguing but there will be a lot of competition for him. Shamet might be our best option but why would he come back when he doesn't even know who's going to be the coach? What if the new coach doesn't like him? Someone like Shamet cannot afford to waste another season. If I was his agent, I'd want a guarantee or strong assurances he will get 20 mpg.

Grimes wants 25mm, but only one team has cap space (The Nets). Are The Nets gonna make a big FA move to get a guy like Grimes- right now doesn't look like they are aiming to compete this year. Grimes could play on the QO and try to become a UFA next year. If Philly is worried about losing him, then they may want to lock him up now at his asking price or near it...or they can take the risk and play hardball.

Shamet went to free agency last year healthy, but didn't find a market. He had a bad year shooting the ball, so we got him on a Vet Min late in the process.

This year, he's coming off an injury riddled year, but given his good close, he is coming off a year where he shot just under 40% from 3. Makes him a bit more attractive. That said I don't think his market will improve dramatically. There are a fair amount of 3 pt shooters available...he's probably not no.1 on anyone's list but is probably a 2nd or 3rd backup plan for a lot of people.

A lot of these guys are gonna get the min and its up to them to match the right situation - Minutes, a city they want to play, how badly they want to win. Thibs liked Shamet a lot and still left him out of the playoffs for some time. Without knowing who the coach is, its hard to determine if we should be paying Shamet more than a min - we should really only give the TMLE to someone who is a perfect piece for what we are trying to accomplish to make sure we are beating out the 30 other teams that can offer the exact same deal with different variables to their situation.

Otherwise with our vet mins we should just have a list of guys at each position/role and be willing to except the 2nd or 3rd guy on the list. That worked out fairly well last year in terms of getting pretty decent guys like Payne, Shamet, Morris (whom we had to get rid of after the KAT trade).

Tyus and Horford the names he has mentioned most. Let's see. Tyus is an extremely low turnover player and lately has become quite efficient from 3. Does not play as fast as Cam.

I would be concerned about Holford's age and mileage suddenly catching up with him. We havent had the best luck with aging stars.

Am I the only one who thinks trading for the earthly remains of Lebron James makes sense?

I despise the guy but I'm not a Kat fan either and we'll be stuck in Brunson/Kat hell for a long time.

A Lebron trade gives us a year or two of Lebron then cap space. We roll with Mitch and our cast of center Hukelberries and surround Lebron with a damned fine team.

Count me in.

The cap space may not be that useful unless you totally tear down. The space if will free up will only open up enough salary for a lesser player. Seems like the right theory these days is to roll the salary slot into the next player as long as your below the aprons.

Anyway on the Lebron front - it might be max a 1 year trade - means you gotta win next year or you might essentially shut your window if he retires. The trade with either be KAT for Lebron or Mitch/OG for Lebron. I could see the latter deal making sense since Lebron essentially slots into OG's starting spot - and I'm not entirely sure how you stop a Lebron/KAT/Brunson O (I guess force us to shoot 3s). That said I don't think I'm interested in shortening the window so badly, and I'm not 100% convinced that bringing Lebron in guarantees us the title.

Lebron for KAT? Yea i'd do it... Lebron is just a much better player on both ends and it improves our IQ and defense tremendously.

No. KAT is more than 10 years younger and not a cancerous asswipe who will want to co-GM with Rose.
