Only explanation I've got is that they want to be awful again next year and have a top pick in 2025. But still seems like they could have gotten better value on #8... |

It's been widely discussed as the worst in a generational; similar to to 2013. KCP turned himself into a very useful role player but would anyone care to lose any of the other top-9 picks save Oladipo in that draft? Whatever the outcome, I doubt the 8th pick would have any baring on the Spurs competitiveness next season. That much would be entirely dependent on Victor's growth and if they sign a slew of capable veterans to flesh out their roster. |
