Only reason I can think of is this: there wasn't a trade to be made or a player the Knicks really loved with this year's pick so rather than use the pick now they kept it as an asset to be used if a trade possibility opens up in the next year. Can't really knock that strategically.

um, think if Kai Jones or Keon Johnson become superstars it will matter to fans...that trade is terrible, tells me the Knicks were the one's who initiated the trade, likely panicked when their guy got picked just ahead ... Duarte is mt guess ..

Crap trade imo.

How so? We came out of it with who we would have drafted anyway and we pay them less money since they were picked later than they would have. Plus more assets for a trade. I am not understanding why people are down on this trade.

We got the same amount of players, and perhaps the 3 players we wanted, and got 2 more picks next year in the process.

Witchcraft. I was worried the Knicks would trade up.

I don’t know much about Grimes - read a couple articles, but I was pretty high on Trey Murphy. Seems like next on the draft chart on the wing.

Love the McBride pick. Had no clue he would still be on the board at 36.

Don’t know Roku, but sounds like we got a free player.

Pretty happy here while hanging out looking for 58… hoping to find Jericho Sims or Vrenz Bleijenberg in our stash.
