"You go through free agency and you have a lot of irons in the fire, a lot of options available to you, and we felt that the Raymond Felton option was the best one at the end of the day," Grunwald said. "We were excited to have Raymond back.

"We weren't disappointed at all."

Yeah, I BET they want to focus on the current team! Why think about the gift that fell into their laps that they let slip away?

Oh man, time to put the boots on... and I like Raymond Felton. I thought he played over his head when he was here and he did come back down to earth those last few weeks before the trade. I do look forward to seeing what Felton can do here, but Lin fell into our laps as Panos said. We for sure have a very very good team. But without Lin, I really see our best shot (not only shot but best one) fall by the way side when it comes to getting past Miami and then OKC, LA, etc. A big three of our own (Chandler can't score well so he is not there) would have given us the best chance imo. I am open to Melo and Stat tearing it up and maybe making me a believer, but I just don't see it happening. Who knows, maybe the ghost of Lin will be a good thing.

Maybe because it's a better BET to focus on the current team than on the last time we saw the "gift":

I agree we should focus on the present but you cant blame people for being fans of Lin or Gallo or any other former knicks who did well. Its not a big deal

No big deal at all. Jeez, I still have Marbury jerseys.

Just pointing out that the "gift" was "broken" the last time we saw him...

No hate here, just disappointed that he'd trade what could have been a great run at MSG for what's going to amount to a middle of the road career in Houston. Our insipidly stupid owner aside. Hey, maybe the Rockets game ho's are bit less of a problem for a young humble Christian man than our KCDancers. Understandable.

I will never forget Kobe's comment at the height of the supernova: "He just went for 40 against us...I'm not giving him any dayum advice..."

I now find beating horse skeletons into a fine white powder to be a great and fulfilling experience!

understand this, it was the knicks who promised to match, they didn't say they would match if he did this, or was offered this.. they said they would match!!!! NY said that.. they didn't and they blew it.. this is not on lin..

Next, Houston is set up pretty nice, they will have a chance in the near future to make moves and improve. It is funny how you call them middle of the road.. well where in the heck are we?

I like Royce White a lo and I am still pissed about the McGrady trade. But I think Sheridan was right when he said he thought the Rockets would be this year version of the Bobcats.

But its easier to convince yourself that lin isnt worth the money then deal with the harsh reality of the situation. A terrible predictament because the owner is an alcholic

well fields doesn't stink, but I get your point here... everyone is trying to convince themselves that letting lin go was the Prudent thing to do.. LOL

sort of like losing a lottery ticket and then telling yourself it didn't matter because of all the problems that come with having a lot of money.. Pointing out the past lottery winners and their misfortunes...... yea..... ooooookayy.... LOL

"waits for posters to come in screaming.. you comparing lin to winning the lottery?"

Lin was great as a Knick but his contract offer from Houston was, 'ridiculous' with the new cba. Footage from ClutchCity of day 2 of rockets training camp. Check out the horrible turnover just after the 2:40 mark.

I'm sure even Jason Kidd commited 1 turnover today. Its just that the Rockets media relations doesn't edit and filter videos in their favor. Like the entire knicks organization does starting at the top with dolan

Maybe only every time someone whines endlessly about how we committed the original sin by letting the "gift" go...

Correction! 85% of being near the 97.8% required of the 100% it would take to actually be 50% day to day...
