Everyone seems to be making a big deal about the Durant/Lebron play, but no-one mentions the fact that Durant could have easily been called for his 6th foul when he ran over Battier. No-one seems to have a problem with the Refs swallowing their whistles on that play.
i don't think he got there in time....
Lebron got beat the last played and he committed 2-3 fouls that affected the outcome of the game.
My beef is that Lebron and Dwade get many calls their ways as superstars when there are plays that they aren't even touched.
The truth is Lebron and Dwade are so strong, aggressive, big, and athletic, that they initiate the contact and always get the attention calls their way.
Westbrook clearly got knocked down on the put back dunk off the miss of Durant.
If that was Wade, he would be staring down the refs, putting on a clinic show while pretending like he was hurt in the play, and get the call.
Chalmers even got the offensive foul call on Harden, which was also a flop.
Because Harden is so much bigger and stronger than Chalmers, he sold it much better.
It just looks much better than vs the flop Harden tried to do versus Lebron, which Haslem got open and a dunk from.
The NBA doesn't want this series to be a sweep, because this series is the series EVERY NBA fan wanted to see, and will generate the most $.
Possibly the best ratings, advertisements, ticket sales, and hot dogs, beers, food, sold in the are arenas/stadiums.
Problem is, OKC now loses the advantage, with the NBA format being 2, 3, 1, and 1, it favors The Heat and the underdog way too much.
OKC is by far the superior team, having one of the toughest roads ever to the championships of all time, and the refs bailed The Heat out.
Dwade and Lebron, especially "KING JAMES" has fans over the world, as this new era of the "Jordan" with the younger NBA fans.
Does anyone really NOT think that they both get extra treatment/attention from the refs as "ALL STARS"?
Was "THE FIX" in, I don't know....
It could be or it could just be that King James and Flash both just get SUPERSTAR treatment.
The way those 2 are built, with "STAR TREATMENT", they have the ability to initiate contact, and get rewarded for it, on EVERY PLAY if they wanted...
I give credit to Battier and The Heat played very well, but they had way too many calls going their way.
Westbrook produced great "STATS" but his horrible shot selection, was part of their reason why they were playing from behind for majority of the game.
