Short of relocating to Salt Lake City and Dolan selling the franchise just after forcing Melo to go to China, the knicks will always suhuck donkey kong.

No hate here, just disappointed that he'd trade what could have been a great run at MSG for what's obviously going to amount to a middle of the road career multiple chips and league MVP's in Houston. Our insipidly stupid owner and pathetic loser franchise aside. Hey, maybe the Rockets game ho's are bit less of a problem for a young humble Christian man than our KCDancers. Understandable.

understand this, it was the knicks who promised to match, they didn't say they would match if he did this, or was offered this.. they said they would match!!!! NY said that.. they didn't and they blew it.. this is not on lin..

Next, Houston is set up pretty nice, they will have a chance in the near future to make moves and improve. It is funny how you call them middle of the road.. well where in the heck are we?

Oh sorry. Point #1, fixed, above.

Next point: and of course, in tkf world, "we" haven't made moves, "we've" just repeatedly traded away gold for feces. And having a chance in Houston of course beats the living sheet out of doing anything at the world's most famous arena, Money Sucking Garbage.

I see the light at last!

yea we made moves, we got 3 38+ year old guys, a scrub in brewer and a 35 year old euro guard..... we made moves, so did all the other teams, they just made better moves... we made very average moves, would have been great moves 5 years ago.. I just hate the overrating of moves because we made moves.... sounds so much like the isiah era, every move was great, because .... we made moves.. activity.. LOL.. good or bad, knicks fans bought in... instead of just calling it as it is, we buy in.. now everyone is going nuts at the though of signing sheet and kenyon martin....

yet the heat sign ray allen and lewis.. goes under the radar, no fanfare, just solid moves...

Are we praising Rashard Lewis being signed? Ray is a sell out karma is stronger than LeBron.

I'm calling that now.

Why is it no one blames Fields when he signed a ridiculous contract? I will tell you why because he stinks and everyone knows letting a 24yr old pg walk for nothing is assinine. But its easier to convince yourself that lin isnt worth the money then deal with the harsh reality of the situation. A terrible predictament because the owner is an alcholic

well fields doesn't stink, but I get your point here... everyone is trying to convince themselves that letting lin go was the Prudent thing to do.. LOL

sort of like losing a lottery ticket and then telling yourself it didn't matter because of all the problems that come with having a lot of money.. Pointing out the past lottery winners and their misfortunes...... yea..... ooooookayy.... LOL

Regardless of how you feel about the moves the fact remains that our roster is stronger than it was. Brewer is an upgarde over Fields, Camby is an upgrade over Fishlips, We needed PG's and brought in 2 in Kidd and Pablo. We may also add another player.

Not matching Lin sucks but its not the end of the world. Let's give the kid a full season in Houston before we call him the missing link. Felton is more than capable of running an offense.

Traded away our future? We are in win now mode and have a 3 year window to get it done. The future is now.

I get it, we have a ton of Lin fan boys/Dolan haters but it's beyong beating a dead horse at this point. I dare say it's MELOdramatic.

I guess that all depends on what you see as the "future". We spent three full seasons in your "future":
given your "Denver's great, we suhuck based on win/loss record", let's review the math, shall we?:

2007 23-59
2008 32-50
2009 29-53

Wasn't all that fun?

Stat was breaking down due to overuse as a 5 the very next season, which is what you're obviously still sniffing to maintain your gallo/yoot crack high, Moz showed spark which has now amounted to less than a third string 5, and the Mayor was the Mayor; flat line and sometimes inconsistent. That leaves 1 first rounder and 2 second rounders. Were these phantoms really the "future"? Have we drafted so incredibly well in the last 30 years that the fabulous "future" was just three picks away?

Where, I ask, was this tremendous "future" taking us? Lebron/Wade/Kobe weren't coming to play with our broken down Stat. There were no Durant's in the draft that we were going to be cherry picking. We shot our lottery load in '85.

In hateland, I'd really like to see how your future would have played out in your Melo-less world. Should be entertaining reading.

Perhaps there was another way than Melo? Other trades to make? CP3, Deron,Bynum and Dwight were up for grabs.

I think its a bit complicated to examine every possible move but there might have been more combonations available then just keeping the team as it was for the end of time or Signing Lebron.

As for Lin, the majority of fans wanted him back and it was expected. We failed to accomplish this. Rockets won't just be about this year.

As for the knicks, we are all in for starphuch mode for now.

Enjoy it for what it is.

Perhaps Brewer on this team is an upgrade over Fields. Fields thrives on a team with ball movement. Clearly we are more of an ISO team and I can see Brewer serving a role defensively, no big argument there.
Camby over Fishlips I can agree with as well.

But I would much much rather have Lin (and one of the following) than Kidd and Pablo (and Felton). Kidd is on his last legs and Pablo I like as a backup - he is an unknown, actually I liked Kidd as a backup. Lin could score, dish AND score in crunch. I've mentioned it before but it's worth saying again, if we have one injury to either of our big two scorers, we are through. And note that Stat has had back problems the last two years. And even if we don't I am not sure we can keep up with Miami. Letting Lin walk was stupid in that regard. We are taking a big big chance in essentially going with Felton and Kidd over Lin (and say Pablo). And, if we have an injury to any one of the Geriatric club we are going to be in for a long season as at least two of the 3 in Camby and Kidd will probably play key roles on our team.

If nothing else, not only was Lin a key to getting over the hump, but he was insurance, insurance for that big Contract in Stat that nobody wants to take on. We are walking on thin ice. I am not totally down on the team, but it is sad to see the best thing to happen to this team, let walked. Let that sink in. We let him walk. It is so obvious you don't do that.

The Future is now, but let's not get lost in a saying. Who says we also have to forget the future, if you want to call 4 years from that "The future". I mean the smartest thing to do is hold onto young talent like Lin, and he plays an immensely important position. With Lin we could have had an improvement over Win now AND a future. I think that is clear.

There is definitely emotion involved, but right now I am just looking at the roster and don't feel pissed like I once did. Looking at our roster, I think we can make noise, but thinking of the team we could have had with Lin... ouch, we could have really taken out Miami.

We let a player walk, who had that "it" factor. They don't come around very often and when you find one that plays pg you keep them and build around them. If Stat and Melo don't play well together this year, Dolan is going to look very very bad, and we as a team will reflect that.

Yeah, that was a great video. Agreed gunsnewing, my eyes (and heart) didn't lie. Lin was the best thing to happen to this team in a long time. Thanks Dolon (intentional spelling) ;-)
